My 2003 Maxima SE has a broken exhaust mount that is right before the catalytic converter. It is the type fits in the rubber hanger and has a piece bolted on to it also. The other end appears to had been attached by weld to the exhaust pipe. This is located at about the center of the underbody of the car. Question: Is there a replacement part I can purchase that I can use to replace it with WITHOUT paying someone to spot weld it?

On Friday I was getting tired of hearing the noise and found a fix. The way my bracket broke right at the weld and having worked as a mechanic years ago I fixed it myself. I purchased a 2 1/2" clamp and put over the pipe AND the bracket. I probably could of used a 2" or 2 1/8" clamp, but the 2 1/2" worked fine. I was able to tighten the exhaust (technically called a muffler clamp) clamp to hold the bracket in place and fixed it fine. Cost me about 3 bucks for the clamp and took me 5-10 minutes to put it on. Make sure you use a jack stand - that car comes down and thats it for you! Hope this helps!
