  Film on headlamp

Nissan Maxima 2003 passenger headlamp has a opaque film on it- If I take a old town and rub it really hard the film comes off and looks pretty clear- but it returns after a few days. I don't know if this is what you would call oxidized but it looks BAD and obviously distorts the headlamp. I heard crazy ideas- which I have not tried and want to know if anyone has any ideas of what may remedy the situation. Thanks in advance.

there are a few that i would recommend, with my favorite being meguiars plastx. It works good, always apply a coat of wax afterwords.

another good one(for me atleast) was to hit them with rubbing compound, then polishing compound, and then wax.

I always find it good if i use my powerball or a buffer

It bothered me so much I actually went outside that night and did as I was advised. Using the 3 products did a great job. I would of posted a picture but by the time you requested the lens looked like the other- so no before and after perspective. Worked great and looks new. Thanks for your help!

word. go to know it worked for someone else. I personally use 0000 grade steel wool on my glass headlights, before I hit them with anything. It takes a lot of grittiness(is that even a word) out of them

You could always try the ol' wet sanding technique, that worked phenomonally for me and still looks great even after about 5 months.

If the housing is plastic, use the megulars plastix, plastic polish. It will remove all the haze and will look like new again.
