I have a 99Q Touring and was wondering where to start on making it quicker and hopefully get a little better fuel economy. It is completely stock and has about 108k on the odometer, so I'm not looking to make it a street racer and start tearing stuff up, but I was wondering about the computer, exhaust, cold air intake......

Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

Computer is OBD II, so no one has cracked it. Exhaust and cold air intake are not restrictive at all. The early JDM version ran a spider intake alike the VH45DE, but I don't know who has adapted one to US version. YOu would have to change the lower runners also.

Nice headers available from Impul, spendy and designed for JDM RHD cars, so don't know if they would fit.

Wel, I guess it will be staying stock. I just wanted to get it down in the mid 14's without spending a ton of money.

It sounds like there just arent many mods for this motor, or is it the year of the car that makes it tough??

You can do an exhaust system but it willl not do alot for you. The bottom line is this version of Q has really no upgrades...but you can get new springs/struts/shocks and wheels/tires and make it handle alot better. search for memoryfab, they sell Insurance Springs along with KYB SR Specials that will improve handling quite a lot. But speed stuff just isn't there.
