Had this happen in my SR that I had when I was in the states, maf was improperly connected by prev O. (Read: solder & wires ended up touching ) blew the hell out of the ECU, and yup, damn thing kept running. Had to get a new MAF & ECU (it was way past gone).OM3GA wrote:Check the ignition switch pin, take the ecu out and take the cover off and take the trace that goes to that pin and figure out if its burnt somewhere. It only is supposed to let power go one direction and when power surges through it, it allows power to travel both ways. It is repairable but you need to make sure thats the problem first.
Most commonly its caused by the Mafs wiring shorting out somewhere.
