I have 18x9 and 18x10.5 inch wheelsup front im running 255/40/18s, and in the rear i will be running 265/35/18s

my question is, will the front wheel and tire overall be taller than the rear?and will it be noticeable?,

im thinking i should have ordered 265/40/18s for the rear, instead of the 35s.

thanks for any help

I'm sure that would be visibly noticable. I have no idea what it would feel like driving though... I'd try to get the OD's rectified before I mounted them if I were you.

They will be just over a half inch, and I notice things like that rather easily.

What wheels did you get that were 18x10.5?

Are you having issues with fitment in the back or just the front? If you got em on, share some pics bro.

This is what im working with.

Theres a bit more sidewall up front VS than in the rear.

my tire choices are 235/40245/40255/35

i want the one that will match up best with the rear. but im thinking i may have to go with the 235(but i dont realyl want too much of a stretch up front), tho i want the 245/40, but its about .5 inch taller( supposedly) than the 265/35 on the 10.so im guessing the 255/35 would be my best bet, just drop down a level on sidewall so i can keep the same contact patch.

was having fitment issues in the rear, but that's solved with the 265/35snow im having a mismatch with front and rear. fronts are a lil over half inch taller than the rear overall diameter. and you can tell there's more sidewall.

i need to know what size tire that i posted in my PREVIOUS post, to run to have the beast match up.

i'd like to keep the 255 rubber up frontim curious how the 255/35 on the 9 would look with the 265/35 on the 10s in the rear

I understand your concern for having as much tire on the pavement, but consider the fact that you have a 9" wheel on the front of a RWD vehicle. If you went with a tire that had a little more stretch on the front, it would not only look more uniform with the car, but it would probably help with fitment up front as well. Just my $0.02.

I like the way those wheels came out on the car though. I think they would look aggressive as hell on a Kouki S14. Those rear tires are BEAST!!

I'm about to order wheels for my car, it'll be 17x8 in the front, 18x9.5 in the rear. I will actually be wearing 265/35 in the rear as well, but 225/45 in the front I think.

i completely agree speedeast

thanks for your opinions and help.i think that now ill be going with the 235/40 with a slight stretch up front.and run a 15mill spacer up front.

I've never reached my grip limit in the mountains on 225s(on 16s) so i think the 235s will suit my needs just finejust cant cheap out on tires, tho at ~60 a piece. the nankang 235/40/18s SURE are tempting lol

the the 265/35 would be a great match up for the 9.5s, and you'll be stretching a tad, if im correct.and going from the wheel calculator i use, that's a perfect match up

just curious, what kind of wheels you planning on going with?

I have a mission when it comes to my car, but I also have a budget:

XXR 522 in Flat Black, and 17s in the front - 18s in the rear like I said...

I am going to wrap 'em in Kumho Ecsta STPs.
