Ok, I'll start by saying that I don't post much due to the search button, which usually yields great results, but I can't find a particular answer...

I am considering removing the set screw for the parking brake operation in my rear calipers to avoid the dreaded corrosion/freezing of my rear calipers. In lieu of the cable setup, I will be installing a hydraulic parking brake cylinder.

For those of you who want to respond with something like "don't do it, you're stupid for removing the redunancy system of a seperate brake", please don't. I fully understand the ramifications of what I want to do, I just want to know if it has been done successfully before.

Oh, and btw-the calipers I currently have are from an '87 z31, but the process will be the same as s12, s13, s14, s15, probably maxima, sentra, and most other non-top hat, rear disk parking brake setups.

Thanks everybody in advance.

Apparently so. I was kinda hoping somebody else did previously...

On another note, I think we may have met before at one of the CIP open houses...
