Nothing special for the M as far as tint goes... and the TPMS ...not related at all.fooitm35x wrote:Did you get your car tinted? I want to get my car tinted and wondering how it's done on M's - do they remove door panels and rear shelf? Are there any issues with TPMS, etc? I want to get 23% charcoal tint on my Diamond Graphite M - should look good.
Yeah, I am very well aware of the local Ontario laws, and that's why I won't go 15% all around, etc... I had my previous car without sunroof tinted 23% all around and it was great. I guess M's with sunroof can possibly be tinted a bit lower, maybe 20%, but I don't want that pitch black limo look, I want my tinted windows to blend nicely with the color of the car.qship96 wrote:Be sure to check your local laws as far as how dark you can go, otherwise you may end up being stopped by the local roving tax collectors who carry tint meters, and if yours fails due to being too dark.....expect a ticket requiring you to strip it off and pay for an inspection proving so.
Tint first, then give it about a day for the tints to settle and dont roll the windows down for the entire day. When I went to get my tints done there was water spots all over the car and windows. So save the detailing for last.fooitm35x wrote:What's the right order of things - to tint first and then to have the car detailed or vice-versa?
Its tinted behind itfooitm35x wrote:Can you tell from the above pic if it has tint behind the 3rd brake or around it?
So it's doable... I know many pros tint around these lights, but in my opinion it is not an appealing look to a car.dvan wrote:Its tinted behind it
How exactly does tint have anything to do with the TPMS?????SB123 wrote:As long as you don't get cheap tint, you should have no trouble with tpms.
I don't know what to tell you... It might be your local regulations or something else...From what I understand professional tinters don't really care, it's how their software cut the film.medic35x wrote:professional tinters dont usually tint over the brake light for safety reason, unless you ask them to of course.
I guess they don't use tint film tooqship96 wrote:Real tinters are artists and dont use computer cut tint!!!!!
