shifter replacement question

i just got a short throw shifterand the 2 front most bolts seem impossible to get to..i took off my boot and everything and theres basically just no room for a ratchet..how can i get to it to throw this thing on?im sure im just an idiot but help me out plz and thanks lol

yeah the front two are a PITA! i used a ratcheting wrench. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1...4000P or drop the transmission

so a wrench can get in there and thats about it? dirtyyy loli thought it was guna be cake until i got the boot off and only saw 4 boltsi was like uhhhh...damnit ima have to get on nico and ask the nissan wizards lol

it has to be a ratcheting type. a normal wrench wont be able to move enough to do anything. its a tight spot and even those wrenches take a while to get the job done.

I used a normal wrench.

It was fun.

Or jack it up and do it from under.

all i did was drop the transmission cross member (4bolts) and it made enough room to use a small angled wrench.

meh im fairly lazy lol ill spend ten bucks on a ratcheting wrench set and get er done ha i just wasnt expecting it to not fit with a ratchet..i was like uh... but thanks for the tips guys..its one of the ebay v2 short shiftersso ill just lube up the bushing cus i heard it squeaks after awhile
