Hey,

So I recently ordered a replacement shift boot from Ebay (stock one was missing when I bought the car).

Anyways, I'm missing the clips or whatever to mount the shifter boot – so I taped it to the surrounding plastic from underneath.

Well, after trying scotch tape and duct tape, nothing sticks.

Does anyone know what replacement part(s) I need to order, and what the part # is?

Thanks!

Ryan

Do you need a small plastic trim in the middle of 68420M?

*Edit* Oh wait, are you talking about the big plastic piece on bottom? If so, that link won't help

Man, OP please update your profile. I had no idea if you own s13 or s14. Anyway, basically, same stuff.

The ring that retains the boot is available only with the entire boot and plastic finisher. The part # is 96935-70F10, List price is $79.50. If you just need the metal retaining clips the part # is 96938-40U10, they list for $1.85 each. But they look like a typical push nut that most any hardware store or parts store should have an assortment of.

Thanks guys. Might just go the superglue route – don't want to drop $80 to keep that s*** together.
