sorry guys i hate to start another bodykit thread but i have been reading every thing i could find for the last week and everytime i decide on a kit i hear their no good. Im looking for a kit that has good fitment/quality, and around $1000 or under. Im getting confused, there are so many knock-offs around i dont know whats good or whats junk, so this is where i need your help

my car is a 92 240 hb, completely stock and has been sitting for the last 2 years because i paralyzed my right arm in a motorcycle accident.

i ordered a sr20 last week, and i was gonna order a v-fiber kit that was $350 but after reading they were junk im not gonna waste the money instead i'll fork up a few extra bucks and get something decent

My decision is basically made on the Charge Speed, i just need conformation that its a good kit and i wont regret putting it on the 240

If that falls through im looking at the Streamline Origin Kit i can get here in Canada that would save me a few hundred in shipping.

Theres a few other styles i like but i found some good info on this site for those, mainly im looking for info on the Charge Speed. if you have any input on other quality kits that are in the $1000 range im all ears, pics if ya got em

If theres another topic on this that i couldnt find my apologizes and a link would be great.

Thanks for any help

body kits are useless, but if your dead set on getting one then that one is not a BAD choice, just let me ask you this, what is the condition of your car? if its stock, then do maintenance till your car runs like a top and you dont have to worry about anything going wrong with it, if its up to par maintenance wise, then get good suspension, that will honestly affect the looks(for good anyways) FAR more than ANY bodykit will, a good ride height and stock body=

If my opinions matter then you might regret putting it on the 240.But since they dont/shouldnt you wont regret it at all.

I dont think that kit is particularly pretty, looks worse than OEM, with a piglip. The SideSkirts look like generic ebay and the rear bumper probably follows the trend as well.Even on the demo car that kit doesnt look particularly good.If you are gonna spend a pretty penny on a body kit rather swap to S13ilvia and get the Instant Gentleman.Better yet, swap to S14a and call it a day.

But thats just me.

Chargespeed is a decent brand and the fitment should not be an issue. Same with Origin.

Agreed, no good. Whatever you do, don't get fiberglass body parts.

It looks too flashy. I made it a little smoother for you via Ms paint.

If your completely stock, I believe you have other things to take care of before getting a body kit. First two would be suspension and wheels.

Unless you plan on rocking a body kit with stock height and wheels...

If I ever get there it will be a D-max kit.

yea im getting a kit for sure, kinda debating on origin now, i dunno what i want

the car was mint when i got my hands on it, i bought it from an older lady elementary teacher, its still in good shape. the suspension idea never even crossed my mind, since i f***ed my arm i don't drive like i use to so i haven't been thinking to much on the performance. do you have any pics with the suspension and no kit?

my plan isn't to slap a bodykit on and caller good, its gonna be a winter project so im going to pick up whatever i can,im just getting into the car and don't know alot so im open to opinions. i ordered an sr20, then getting rims and a bodykit, im going to look into a suspension for sure. im not rich so best bang for the buck is in my head.

what are some other starter mod for a stock 240

im ordering rims with the bodykit, i just want them bought and paid for while i got the $ then i'll start picking up other things.

what should i get for the suspension? something thats easy on the wallet would be nice. could i get a set of shocks and lowering springs and put them on for now then add later?

Basic suspension that lowers and helps could be KYB shocks with Eibach springs.

Much cheaper than coilovers.

I dunno. Your best bet is to make sure everything is guaranteed and not hope it will work.

Someone else can confirm perhaps...

Don't waste your money on a cup kit. I have owned several different combos, and after buying a set of Tein coilovers, I will never buy another cup kit again so long as there is even a generic brand available for my application.

As for a body kit....facepalm. Buy factory aero. Guaranteed fitment. Especially on a hatch. I have recently installed the kouki sideskirts to my hatch along with the rear valences and a Xenon lip, and I can not imagine a body kit from any maker fitting as well or flowing as well as the factory pieces.

im not getting them anymore. im glad i didnt jump the gun on that. after alot more research im going to do things alot different.

going with the Origin Streamline Kit Megan Racing Coilovers - Street Series XXR 962 Wheels 18"

was going to get Megan Racing Street Coils, but they want $1187 at a shop in Canada, after looking on intensepower they are $865 but are discontinued, so if i cant get them i was thinking on the Stance GR+ Coilovers for $1185. anyone have any experiance with these? everyone seems pleased with them from what i read.

as for the wheels, 18x7.5 f and 18x8.5 r sound good? what size tires would fit nice? i don't know anything about offsets and all that. still learning

and for the motor i am going to get a Godspeed Intercooler Kit and Radiator, Megan Racing BOV, Ebay Wastegate, downpipe, hotpipe, polished manifold.

i am going way over budget so i just want to get these things to go in with the motor instead of nothing and can always upgrade later if need be.

Good start, Get the Stance coilovers. And for pics of cars with and without bodykits go to rimtuck.com. That site will also show you examples of different offsets and tire sizes as well as pics of the cars. Personally after owning a hatch with a bodykit and not my coupe without one. I would never ever purchase a bodykit. It is a waste of money, they panels dont hold up, especially fiberglass, its just not at all forgiving. I went through 4 different front bumpers.

im not getting the ChargeSpeed kit but i am getting the Origin Streamline body kit, mainly because of the good reviews and great fitment.

i couldn't find much info on the Charge Speed kit and i didn't want to run into fitment/quality issues so i decided to play it safe. i want it BADD tho lol

is there anything i need to buy right away to go with the coils? cambers etc?

is the godspeed radiator w/Fan a good buy? and is there any certain rad hose kit i need to get? and does anyone know of a good ebay store where i can get all my parts shipped together

like i said im still a noob and trying to take all the info i can from this site, and you guys are a big help. once i get the car in the garage and start the swap everything will come together and make more sence.

any other tips for me to get started ????

+1

especially if you've got an a** load of potholes around. my civic was sittin stock, hit a pothole in the rain, and took out both front and rear covers. good thing it's called gorilla tape! it's like ductape on steroids.

Not sure what coilovers you were going with, but they usually come with everything to install.

The factory does have some adjustability but minimal. So if you lower your car too much your alignment will be off. It all depends on how low you want to go.

i have to get some parts here asap and get workin on the 240! my eyes are seriously falling out of my head from reading on this fourm and looking for parts, i changed my mind at least 20 times in the last few weeks.
