hey all,

i am an owner of a 95 240sx and just bought a d21 for a daily driver. its a 94 4x4 ka24e 5spd. I have been doing the regular maintenance on it and like with the 240sx i want to rip out all the unneccessary emissions 'crap'. Is the egr stuff on the d21 the same as on the sohc 240? has anyone written a guide to 'clean up' the engine bay? It looks like the intake also runs needlessly across to the driver side, i could just rip all the extra plastic out and have it breathe in the air from the front by the hood right (i know it would be warmer air, but for winter i won't care..) ?

cheersMarko

To defeat the EGR, you can unhook the vacuum line to the BPT valve, and plug it. Nothing gets unbolted, and it can be hooked back up in about a minute.
