Canadian spolier?

I am looking at buying an SL trimmed Rogue in January/February (the moonroof is a must for me) and I was wondering if anyone knew where I would be able to find a Canadian type spoiler to put on this (I am in the Washington D.C. Area) before I have the dealer install the U.S. Spoiler when I buy my new vehicle.

You will have to contact a Nissan dealer in Canada. A US dealer will likely not be able to order the Canadian one.... obviously.

For those of you who didn't know there was a difference between the US and Canadian spoilers on the Nissan Rogue... here they are side by side. You will note the left and right hand ends of the US spoiler turn down. It's believed the Canadian design is a safety feature in that it does not obscure another drivers side view of the third brake light. The US spoiler is also slightly deeper (has more of an over-hang over the top of the third brake light).

I, for one, loves the US spoiler....I didn't know there was a Canadian version until I picked up the vehicle on the 1st day... and I was like WTF?!?

Anyhow, after complaining to the local dealer, they offered to order the US version and reinstalled it for free....

The Canadian version just sucks... I can barely tell there's a spoiler installed at all!

I'm with bboard. The U.S spoiler rocks. What's the point of having a spoiler if you can't see it?

Yeah, totally the Canadian spoiler just looks wimpy, I live in Canada and if I spent the cash and got that little thing I'd be pissed too, like you said, what's the point of sticking that tiny little thing on anyway, you can barely see it and it ain't cheap or easy to install!! If you're going to go through the hassle and cost of buying the part, and drilling holes to install it, you better go big and get the thick, cool looking man spoiler dude!!

I guess its a matter of preference. Some peole buy the aftermarket chrome grilles and door handles etc... while others strip off every bit of chrome off they can find. I wouldn't go so far to say that the Canadian spoiler sucks, I think it still adds some flair. However, what I don't like is the crappy notch along the trailing edge of the spoiler. Granted the spoiler has to have a cutout underneath to allow for clearance of the third brake light but having the indentation carry all the way thru to the trailing edge seems like a poor design (at least aesthetically).
