I have a Redtop SR20DET in my 1996 240SX with ABS & VLSD. If my speed sensor is not hooked up would it cause the engine to idle rough? I have just finished swapping over the motor and I am only getting signal to two injectors. I have spark on all four coilpacks and crank angle sensor has been set the correct way with valve cover off. The only thing I can think of is that I don't have the two plugs connected from the lower harness. The speed sensor and the reverse lights. Maybe they complete a circut that sends signal to the injectors. Or if that is not it my computer might be messed up? Does anyone know where I should look? I will get under the car today and connect the two plugs on the lower harness and see if that works. I just wanted to know if anyone knew if that had anything to do with not getting signal to the injectors.

Thanks,

Those two plugs would have no effect on the idle of the engine whatsoever.

Check your computer for codes...

I have just check my computer for codes and there are no codes. I am not getting any signal to injectors #1 & 3. I check with a multimeter for signal at the ECU and there is signal going out and I even plugged up my friends good ECU and still no signal. I believe I have a wiring problem with my harness.

apparently so...

1) Did you make the harness yourself?

2) What was used to splice the wires?

replace those 2 signal wires going to the injectors.
