I split this off as a seperate post.
You cannot add the BOSE amp to the lower end audio units for a couple of reasons:
1) The BOSE amp is located in the hatch area and non-BOSE equipped Rogue's lack the proper wiring.
2) The BOSE amp requires balanced line level audio inputs. The non-Bose headunits have amplified speaker level outputs (read much higher voltage than line level).
As for the subwoofer....
It comes with a built-in amp so the main BOSE amp isn't required. However, you need balanced line level inputs... and the lower end headunits do not have them. You would require some sort of speaker level to balanced output converter combined with a low pass filter. I don't know if such a device even exists. You also need power wiring run for the sub.
This is all a very expensive proposition. Aftermarket components can be purchased with much higher quality and less install issues than OEM. Many aftermarket amps come with speaker level inputs that connect directly with no need to purchase extra converters, etc. IMHO, I would look at an aftermarket sub and amp instead. There may even be versions similar to the BOSE sub that would fit into the wheel well. Optionally, a good shop could fab a sub enclosure that will fit inside the hatch area, ie. along one side.
