I have a 1991 Q45. I am a female who knows very little technically about cars so please bear with me as I try to explain my problem. While driving yesterday I noticed this horrible feeling in the rear like I had lost control and were on a big sheet of ice. The weather is NO where near freezing however the ground was slightly damp so I knew something was terribly wrong. Once I was able to get off the road I looked at the rear passenger side tire and it looked very crooked. I thought it was coming loose which has happened a long time ago but all the nuts were on tight. A closer look underneath revealed some kind of bar or brace that connects the tire to the underside of the car. This brace was completely broken in half causing the tire to wobble freely. Does anyone know the technical name for this part. It looks fairly simple to replace since it is only held on by two nuts, one in either end. I am trying to get an idea of how much this part will cost but I have no idea what it's called. I took a picture of it hopefully I can load it here. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

It's called the lower link on page RA-4 of the factory service manual (FSM). You may want to have some of the other suspension parts inspected since you had this break. You can download the 1994 FSM from this site. The suspension section of the manual is very similar. Should be a easy fix.

Welcome.

This picture is taken from the front and your picture is from the rear of the car.

Thx. mxr662! Much appreciated.Where might I find such a part? I haven't had much luck online. I was thinking of going to a parts yard such as "Crazy Rays" where I live.

Why not buy it new, from a dealer such as http://www.everythinginfiniti.com ???

Junk yard parts are usually junk.
