my 91 rb20det s13swap was going perfect until i realized that the injector resister was dangling from my transmission... i dont know where on my wiring harnes i should install it. its a small silver box with a two wire plug coming out one being grey wire with silverbands the other being black with silver bands... what color wires do i connect them? keep in mind this is my first swap ever......

that's not the injector resistor. rb20 doesn't have one i dont think. plus it needs 7 wires if it is one. it might be something leftover from your original car, like automatic trans related.

Correct, an RB20 with stock injectors does not have a resistor pack for the injectors.

I would agree that this resistor is probably just something left over from the swap...it may be a noise suprestion resistor.

If you could post a picture, we'd be able to tell you for sure.

This rb is giving me alot of trouble..Panda Garage in el cajon sold me this motor for $1300(rusted and carrosion everywhere) told me its gonna be plug n play but its been a disaster now! According to everybody its not the resistor pack bcuz it doesnt origanally come with one then what would cause it to not rev above 2000 or 2500rpm? my friends have told me its an ecu problem? this is the second ecu theyve sent me bcuz the the first one wasnt for the rb20. I know alot of people blame shops bcuz they cant fix their problem but i really dont think im at fault.I feel like i jus waisted my bank account what would cause the motor to sound as if the rev limiter kicked in early? thanks for everything guys cant get this kind of help for my solstice lol.............i might be able to post some pics alil later today

Sometimes a broken or non properly working MAF will cause the motor to go into a 'safe mode' and not be able to rev past 2k-2.5k. However, I am sure there are many more problems that would cause this same issue.

More info + pics and you'd be suprised what these brilliant minds on the nico forums can come up with.

Either your maf is bad or the wiring for it is bad. That's the only sensor fault I know of that will cause a 2-2500rpm rev limit.

A cooling system that has air bubbles at the coolant temp sensor, or a bad coolant temp sensor will raise and lower the idle constantly.

That resistor box is for the skyline wiper motor I believe. I took it off my swap after I got it running since its power wires run into the cabin and are one of the connectors you don't use.
