It's the Apex'i S-AFC Neo and I'm trying to get my car to just run properly for now and eventually looking at getting 300rwhp. Is this ECU, piggy back system I believe, going to be able to do everything I'll need it to do to safely manage 300rwhp but most importantly allow me to manage, monitor, and alter my A/F ratio as I am currently running ridiculously rich.

I think chipping the stock ecu is about the same price as the safc neo brand new and allows for a way more precise tune than any piggy-back system. If it is a stock rb20 in there and it is running a bit rich, better than a bit lean at least, you could get away with using a piggy back system like the safc, just buy a used one (cheaper). However, once you start doin a bunch of bolt ons, bigger turbo, and dive into the head a bit with some new cams then you will probably want something better than a piggy-back (i.e. nistune or have someone on here chip it for you).

To answer your question, the apexi afc neo is not a wideband unit and will not monitor your a/f ratio's, you will need some other wideband unit to do this. What the safc does is allow you to change injector pulse width by tricking the ecu into thinking that there is more or less air in the system than their actually is, thus changing your overall afr's.
