05 maxima screen repair.

Hey guys i'm new here, I need some help here I cracked my wifes information screen and I need to fix it. It seems like there are two screens, because it's cracked but it's not all blurry like there's an outer screen? can that just be replaced ? or not? What is the correct way to get the screen out? I dont want to just start prying on the trim piece, not my car. I'm kinda in the dog house right now any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Jeff

Yes, there's a protective screen on top that you can remove. I took mine off long ago and it's been fine, just don't crack it again!!!!
