Doesn't look too bad to me. You could order one off line for the same price and still know nothing about it.

Isn't it kinda far from MI to TN? Just wondering. At $1,200 its a good start.

That fuel rail seems custom tho.

i don't like having to drive that far towing a car
but yes it does seem like a good start
i have a 89 hatch 240sx
but i like the coupes
and considering most of the swap is complete besides turbo FMIC and master and slave cyl
which i can get off mine
but its gonna cost like 200 in gas hahah
i just want a ca18det lol
don't care to much for the paint on this one
but its different

Buy Gabby's car?

Gotta love the user name. Squidbillies is awesome. I'm sure you can relate as much as I, being from this tri-state area and all.

...Yeah, I just said "inquisitations" because I couldn't think of that word what means "wrassle a bear."

Wrestle?

Thats the one! Now put your salmon hat on...

To be honest, you would probably just want to get a car down south. Northern cars are all rusty, and anything that age is going to have it regardless of how little it was driven in the snow.

You need to get something from down south, where the roads are smooth and the winters are mild. Aaaah Dixieland. Yoouuu are sooo gooood to meeee!

White tail buck deer, munchin' on clover
Red tailed hawk, sitting on a rail
Chubby 'ol groundhog, croakin' bullfrog
Free as a feelin' in the wind
Home grown country girl,
Gonna give me a whirl
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Couldn't feel better, I'm together
With my Dixieland delight

Which is exactly why you don't need to be buying a northern car. That and you'll be shelling out at least half the price of the car:

a: Driving something capable of towing a car/trailer to Ann Arbor Michigan and back, and

b: Towing a trailer to Michigan and then a car and trailer back from Michigan to Tennessee with such a vehicle.

Because your gas mileage is going to suck, even when you are unladen. I don't know if you know how crappy your gas mileage is when towing a car + trailer on the interstate, but let me tell you it is pretty much garbage.

Call Jarco Inc. at (770) 479-4948. They are in Hotlanta and they don't sell crap. They may not have a CA18, but they usually do, and they can get them.

http://www.jarcoinc.com/

They are the only respectable importers in the area.

since tim's mind is else where......... or work business as "normal" you could say.

you seem to be trying to get into a CA as cheap as humanly possible and dont want to invest anything into it. You do know, that no matter what you are going to get, you are goingg to need to invest some money into to make it last more than 12 mins right?

my car is forsale for 4k, the work invested and the proper parts sourcing is expensive and my car has alot more than 4k invest into, just to get it running properly.

if you plan to do this because it is "cheap"........... might I recommend you save your money

thats not true
you get what you pay for ...at least thats what ive always went by
and i definitely want to invest in it as much as possible
plus i have a 240sx shell
if i had the extra money i would get yours but im more focused on getting mine running
im not one to buy someone else ride
only reason i wanted to get the one that i posted the link for is because its a coupe
but it has quite a bit of rust and im not to into the tiger strips
i like working on car i have since i was able to hold a wrench
its in my blood hahaha
i don't plan on getting a used motor and just throw it in and go blow it up

dont take me the wrong way, idc who buys my car or if it even sells....... I just used it to illestrate the point.

Im just trying to get you to understand that getting a motor for cheap and slapping it in there isnt going to be an inexpensive process. Specially if you find an issue with the ECU, harness or CAS that you get......

doing EVERYTHING properly is a rare thing for most people who hop on the CA bandwagon, and more often than not it is sold off like the one you listed...... because they cant handle getting it together(due to costs or mental compacity).

Rip Garage is where the seller on Craigslist I posted above got his CA.....only the motor is now freshened up and going for the same price they would sell a tired one for minus the extras.

That VG20DET they have is awesome. I would love to throw that in something so I can be super JDM-tyte. 210hp is nothing to sneeze at. With its really short stroke I'll bet it revs like a bike!

Good question! I would assume it would be the same as swapping a VG30, but with less payoff. Would be a fun project though, so long as you had time, money, and a daily driver.
