Ok i got my ca18det running after soldering a dsm resistor in but how do u line this cas up ive flipped it like 10 times it finnaly ran good i thought the timing was off a little.just so i pulled it out to move it over now i cant get it back to where it runs. When i bought the motor the cas was pulled out ive searched google and here and checked the fsm any help would be great. i would think it would only go in one way or have some sort of marks

Take a pic of the inside of the end of the exhaust cam where the CAS goes into. It's not uncommon for that piece to break or fall out.

It looks intact. You might put a little engine oil on the o-ring that's on the shaft of the cas, that should let is slide in a little easier.

Other than that, just look at the CAS and make sure it matches up with the slot in the exhaust cam.
