Hey!so in short im looking to buy this S14 SR tmrw maybso its already in a S14, runs fine, boosts fine, no misfires, no problems.. Has 35,000km on it from a halfcut. BUT....the turbo seal is going soon, and its getting oil passed through... the owner has been topping it up every once in a while making sure its not going down..(turbo is not a problem for me though)

So i decided to do a compression test today on itand the results:131-131-130-127

Good ? Bad? wats ur take?

Ive read its supposed to be up by the 150 mark...

going to try a leakdown test tmrw too...

Hey, 95% sure that 156 is perfect and 126(ish) is rebuild spec....if you search i'd be suprised if you can't find the info.

Make sure to post this on every forum. Want me to make a list of all the places you can post it?

Sorry, I'm just messing with you and postwhoreing because I'm bored. I gave my honest .02 in your thread on zilvia.

Does it run yet? If not let it run and let the rings settle then check it again.

I was always told you want your highest and lowest compression with a difference at most 4 psi. . . Granted that was coming from a tech. that is a perfectionist. . .

Run the gauge on another motor and see what kind of numbers it gives. They are all close to each other which is great, it's possible the gauge is reading a little low.
