my 240 only runs to 4500rpm's might anyone know why that might be it ??? or the problem ?

It only revs to 4.5k because the ECU is in limp mode.

The question you should be asking is why is my ECU in limp mode?

Check what codes the ECU is puking out.Also check the MAFS like, before anything else, make sure the MAFS is connected and all the piping and wiring is proper.If it aint the MAFS then you can start troubleshooting other problems like tomatoes.

My CA limped at 4k'ish that was with my foot on the gas though, if it just let it sit it would just cut off completely.

Either way the ECU is fuel cutting when it shouldnt, tells you it is panicking for some reason, the usual culprit is the MAFS.Which is where i suggested the OP check first, if it isnt that then we can start troubleshooting other areas.

Possibly a knock sensor? don't know a lot about 240sx but why would it rev all the way to 4k before cutting out? I always thought limp mode kept it under 2500

2.5ish is. something else is going on.
