Hey guys, I am by far no expert in car audio so I want to get your opinions on this. I was wanting to know if this would work in my Z.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISA...AX:IT

It seems like it would fit as long as I remove the center speaker and the divider between the speaker and radio. I'm rewiring the whole system so the Bose will be thrown in the trash. I plan on using Alpine type-R or type-s for the speakers, I have not decided which yet. Does anyone else have anything like this? I'm just really curious to see if this would work, thanks

I think what you would need to do is cut out the space between the two DIN slots to get that in. However, it would need a custom bracket in there, and the whole would be too tall for the unit. You could probably get one custom made by at a bodyshop (or anyone whos experienced with fiberglass), but thats gonna cost you.

If you really want a dvd screen, get a single DIN flip up one (ztommy has one, ask him)

Yeah, I know Tommy has one; however, I dont really like the flip up screens. I could probably get a bracket and cover specialy made.

I'll probably get a double DIN one too, but i'll just make my own bracket. Fibreglass is pretty easy to work with from my experience.

As far as the bracket goes, mine seemed like it would have bolted up to a double din in dash monitor, but I didn't want to have the center panel cut, so I just went with the flip out. I actually think I like it more than I would have an in-dash. Controls just seem easier, even for the same brand/model in-dash. Post up some pics if you do get the double din though.

By the way, I know there's a site somewhere that sells a double din dash mold, but I don't know it off the top of my head. I think it was a Japanese site.

If you could do a writeup that would be awesome. You might wanna look at http://www.chinavasion.com for super cheap double-DIN players. A few of my friends have used the cheap ones without any problems.

I would go with a double din as everyone has suggested. But if you're stuck on the idea of an LCD tv, here's how I bought mine:

I'm not a huge fan of losing the air vents but the look has grown on me.

Wow man, thanks for the pic. I'm not much of a fan of losing the vents but that looks very clean

in my opinion... double din screams "steal me" so if you live in an area with high crime rates i would go with single flip. or get a good alarm system i have a flip and i like it because it gets annoying on back roads in the dark at night. so i usually just flip it closed once i exit the interstate. i think its handy. plus if someone hasnt ever seen one and they get in and you start your car and a screen slowly comes out of your dash, they make funny faces.

Thanks dude for warning me about eonen products, I will look else where. my parents are afraid of someone breaking into it, so the single din is looking like a better option at the moment. Thanks for the reply's
