So I'm heading home from ontario just minding my own business and out of the blue i hear a pop and then my steering wheel turns to the right, In a calm manner I correct the wheel and pull over thinking it's a blow out, So i check the tires and nothings wrong hhhmmmm so i try to check what i can see suspension wise and don't see any thing so i head home limping her gently and slowly, Finally get to the house and on the way i can hear the front tires griping and trying to get the wheel sideways, so i get home jack up the car and start investigating and find that my driverside lower control arm has completely snapped! so now i will be going to the junk yard tomorrow to look for an arm...

You're lucky man. A friend of mine lost the lower left rear arm on his '06 wrx. Slid into a barrier at 70mph on the highway. Mostly just cosmetic damage, but he needed new front end, headlights, driver side door, rear tailight (hit by another car) and paint on the whole side of the car. Consider yourself VERY lucky.

My old Subie had the same thing happen... at about 2 1/2 miles an hour. And i almost hit a mailbox THEN. This is definitely proof that God loves Z's.

Ah! For real?!?! Damn it man! Every time I go hit up the one in San Diego there's no Zs and when I go to Fontana- the same BS happens. I was only lucky enough to find Zs at ecology the very first time I visited the place and that was almost 2 years ago!

Good to hear you fixed the Z already.

yeah i've been through two tension rods already... they're fun when they break. You hit the brakes and the entire hub goes backwards about 4"
