Car: Nissan Xterra 3.3 Non-Supercharged 4x4

Post

2000 nissan xterra 3.3L Non-supercharged has been very good to me. I love this truck. I can't say that it has ever gotten stuck, even w/ the wore-out tires I had on it.

There has been a curse with this thing though. Every single winter, my gauges fail. I lose my fuel, temp, tach, speed, and odometer. When I first start up, things are fine. After the truck warms up, the gauges will just shut down. Everything will just click off. Short amount of time later- they will kick back on then shut down. It has never happened in the summer until this year.

I have thought and thought about this problem and the only thing that I can come up with is the computer over heating. It is right under the vent for your feet, and in the winter is when the heat is on.

Has anybody else has had this issue. A computer is pretty expensive and if I am going to get a comp, I am going to invest in a programable comp.

Anyways, spinnin wheels... HELP PLZ!!!
