Well you guys it took me long enough but i finally finished my turbo install. I would like to give thanx to WD Racing and Neverlift you guys helped me out alot and are outstanding. I will be dropping it off at my local muffler shop to get all my piping ran. But my question is this will it hurt my motor if i start it and run it to get the car on/off the lift at there shop. Remember no intercooler piping, no downpipe.

Big Thanx,Loron

It shouldn't, but I've heard some people say that the heat from the exhaust melted their BMC. Just don't leave it started for a long time. Post some pics of you setup

go to home depot and make a heat shield. Its a requirement IMHO, for top mounts.

Glad to see its all done

Always a pleasure to help get another boost addict on the road

IMHO there is no need to start the car to get it into the shop or move it around at all. 2 people are more then enough to push around my S14...that includes 1 guy to steer.

Starting the car with piping to speak of is a bad. Not only because of the heat from the turbo, but because the MAF isn't hooked to anything. So it'll be in limp home mode and run like crap.

If I don't see pics by say, 1430 Central time today I'm liable to start editing your profile to reflect your wanting to me other SWM's in your area
