240 won't start (sometimes)

i have a problem with my 240 starting it especially when d engine is hot....

and when it starts the idle keeps going up and down when i use it

also i noticed that I'm burning gas quickly since i got this problem.....

I NEED HELP..pls....

I have the exact same problem mine has ran fine for a few weeks now but now it wont start and if i do ever get it started the idle is fluxin between .5 and 1.5 rpms

I had this same problem on my sr. It turned out to be a clogged starter. The starter in the sr or ka can get clogged from clutch dust which is like brake dust. I pulled it off cleaned it then took it up to an autozone to test it. You have to tell them a 240sx starter which the ka is similar to the sr. It tested 100 percent correct so then I just cleaned it with some electronic motor cleaner (3 bucks from autozone) and hooked it back up. Works like a champ --- something you should check that it could be.

....Clutch dust would be a starter/starting issue, not anything due to the car just shutting off. If it is turning off KA maybe the coil is over heating or CKP sensor or SR maybe Cam angle sensor... More details!! You may as well take it to a shop and have it looked at.
