Ok, so long story short, I got a 94 Sentra from a dealership around here, and the fact that I have no idea if it's a SE-R or not has been bugging me for quite awhile. Not even sure if any SE-Rs even have a GA16DE in 'em. Also, even if it's not a SE-R, is it still possible to make it as fast as one? I've been considering making into a project car once I can get the funds, so it might help to know if it's even worth the time and expense considering the fact that it's probably not a SE-R.

1st I like to say Welcome to NicoClub man everyone here is cool and nice.O.K. You have a XE B-13 not a SE-R B-13. A SE-R has a SR20 and a XE has a GA16DE.

You just have to save some $$$$ for a SR20DET engine swap. Then you will have a Fast Sentra. It's not as hard as you think a lot of people have done it. Look at it this way once you do a engine swap your Sentra will last you for another 10 years. Also, always ask questions man and don't be a stranger here either.

First off, thanks. Secondly, I just recently got into Sentras and I've been wondering, what exactly does "B-13" mean anyway? Just checked engine swap price, so, no need for the question that was here, but, the fact my Sentra doesn't have power steering...would that cause an issue when putting a SR20 in?

B13 is the chassis code for the 91-94 Sentras.

Doesn't look like an SE-R from the pic you posted, so you have a GA16DE rather than an SR20DE.

You don't need PS to install the SR. May require a different accessory belt, but no problem with the swap itself.

if you have enough space/time/ money do a Vq swap.. there is a b15 i've seen it done to. it'd be nice to see it in an older one. if possible
