That's competition ready for sure! I wouldn't want to throw that up against a Ferrari California, the blue streak of death would kill it!

It's no GranTurismo but this is what I got.

I don't want to hear anyone here complain about maintenance costs.

No traditional stick shift but is definately not an automatic either. It's called a CambioCorsa and has an F1 gearbox (similar but not exactly like F1 race cars). I know Ferraris since the F355 have used similar gearboxes for cars without the traditional manual gear shifter. The car's computer controls a pump which operates the clutch and changes gears when the paddle shifters are operated (just behind the steering wheel (right side up shifts and left side downshifts). The little lever on the center console puts the car in reverse and then back into forward gears. Other than that, paddle up and down to change gears and you never have to take your hands off the wheel.

To see someone who really knows how to use this system is awesome. You can check out videos on YouTube.

It's pretty cool, you can feel the gears shifting on their own so to speak.

Actually, Maseratis of this vintage are pretty affordable (compared to new ones or Ferraris). The maintenance, however, is a little steep. Poorly maintained ones or ones behind on their maintenance schedule might cost you more than you paid for the car to get it up to snuff.

To drive one is intoxicating. Yes, it is a form of addiction.

Nice ride, despite the the maintenance costs, which is sad. You would think that an "ultimate" car would be nearly bullet proof. However, ironically, the more phenomenal the car, the more fragile it is and thus maintenance will put you into the grave faster than the car.

If your transmission has an "Auto" button, then it is an automatic. It doesn't matter if there is a pump that simulates a clutch pedal and there are flappy paddles to change gears. It is an automatic in my books not matter what fancy name is given to it or what racing heritage it has.

The exhaust note has got to be better than crack.

Funny there is also a police car parked in front of the house at the time of the pictures.

I haven't bought the game yet but from the screen shots and the previews i've seen it'll be a must have for my collection. I already have the first two, I still enjoy FMS 2 quite a bit.

Actually, I try and drive it as much as possible. It is by far the funnest car I have ever owned. I don't drive it during inclimate weather though. The car came from Tampa, FL. I don't think it's ever seen snow or ice and I'm not going to be the one to change that.

As far as the maintenance costs go... Anything that is complex is going to need more attention than something with a simpler design. It's part of what makes it what it is.

That being said, is another reason my QX4 will continue to be my daily driver for years to come. Simple, good engineering. Dependable as any vehicle I have ever owned. Stylish, comfortable, and basically unstoppable in any road condition I have encountered. Fairly cheap to maintain, easy to work on, and just an all around fantastic truck.

Believe it or not, I'll get rid of the Maserati before I get rid of my QX4.

Ko3 I used to think JUST like you, but do some research and you will see these are no automatics. They are actually full 6 speed or w/e speed you have manual transmissions, that are pretty much going through the gates for you when you hit the paddles. Most maseratis and ferraris of older like the above are older designed, and not the best in quality, but still fun. A good stand out one is on the gtr, which was built together with getrag I think, and that thing is a monster.

This blows Forza 2 away. I've never been into a driving game like this one. It's amazing how detailed they get with the upgrades and tuning. You can even upgrade and adjust different front and rear spoilers, and the custom paint jobs are pretty crazy. You can also take pics and upload them to the Forza site and download them seconds later, that' how I got these up. Ohh yeah you can buy/sell stuff with other players as well. So go get the game and throw some pics up.

Im still rocking the original xbox, i never have time to play games no more, but i did the full out Xbox Media Center mod to mine and have a custom brushed aluminum skin and blue LED's in controller ports.

I use my xbox as a media center since it has the AWESOME-EST setup ever, i now have an all digital collection of media, all streamed from my PC, no dvd's, cd's, etc, just a clean a** setup.

Ive been considering getting a new system, all i ever play is racing games...so its either 360, or ps3 (forza 3 or gt5)

I saw a land rover logo on the back of the game, whats with that, is there off road racing?

Nice! I've got an app that lets me stream any type of media from any of my macs(I've got 4) to my 360. The only type of physical media I've got are blu-rays which I'm not a fan of anything Sony. Since WB(which was the last stronghold) pussied out and dumped Toshiba's HDDVD we're all screwed for the time being. Eventually Fuji will come out with their insane holographic disk and Sony will lose their share of the HD media market.

Anyway get a 360, Forza blows GT5 away. I'm an extremely busy guy and I make time for this game. Plus if Roger, Sicwitit, and A33 pony up we could all race online. There's 400+ cars and 100+ tracks and it looks and plays amazing. I think they've got a few SUV's for track racing, I haven't earned or bought the Rover yet but I'm sure you can do crazy things to upgrade it. Here's what happens when I get a hold of a Reventon.

Well I sold out and bought Need For Speed: Shift instead, I may buy Forza 3 eventually but I still haven't finished Forza 2 yet and I got a deal on NFS Shift... I ended up getting it brand new for $29. It definitely doesn't have the car selection of Forza but the game itself is pretty amazing. The realism is off the charts compared to previous NFS games... i'm sure i'll give in and get Forza 3 soon enough though because it looks like it's pretty smokin' too and I can't resist a good racing game

Here's a few pics of my rides in NFS Shift:

67 Shelby GT500

67 Corvette L88 Coupe

Well that bites Hopefully they'll get it back to you quickly, thankfully I haven't suffered the RRoD yet... I've had it for a year and no problems so far. I have a pretty good cooling setup on mine though so hopefully it won't give me any problems either... I won't get my game until next week probably but i'll add you though and start trying to get caught up
