some advice for a newby please

Hello everyone - I've just bought a 1964 Datsun Pickup - L320 1200. I'm based in the UK and pick it up next week. It's got the original engine and I'm not sure what's best egarding the fuelling of it - unleaded 95 or 97 with or with out addatives etc - can any body help.

als the guy I bought it from has not got a clue re he switches inside - can any one tell me waht each of them should do -

It's a left hand drive, ex-Californian example in fantastic condition bodywise - also has a 10 mth MOT so I'm hoping for some cheao and fun mileage.

I have a 63 NL320, so I think I can help.

No need for high-octane. We only have 87 / 89 / 91 here, and I run 87 in mine. I use a lead additive in every tank, as well as some Sta-bil fuel stabilizer.

As far as the switches, let's see...



Left of the wheel is wipers (top) and lights (bottom).

Right of the wheel are choke (right) and throttle (left), although I HAVE seen these reversed.

Any other switches were added later and are not original.

If you show us some pictures, we can help answer any other questions.
