I have a new TPS and Idle control valve for a 2001 QX4. I (the home mechanic) installed these parts for one day, only to find that they did not correct a problem I was having with hesitation. A trip to the Dealer the next day revealed a diagnosis that the entire throttle body needed to be replaced. After swallowing hard at the price, the throttle body was installed, and gone was the hesitation. Dealer advised that the TPS and Idle control assemblies were good, but that the new Dealer installed throttle body came with a new TPS and Idle valve as a unit, and that is the only way they would install the part. I am attempting to recover some of my initial investment in these parts. I paid $103 for the TPS and $369 for the Idle valve. Make an offer - highest accepted. The 01 has a 3.5 VQ35DE engine.
