Hey Im looking for some advice. I just rebuilt my RB25DET and I wanted to see if you guys think I could hit 500HP with what I have put together.

Let me know if this should make 500HP.... I just want to know whether I should add anything or not.

..Bored the block to 87mm instead of factory 86mm cylinders..CP forged Pistons ( 87mm)..Eagle Rods..ACL Race Bearings..SPEC lightweight flywheel..Balanced internals with the flywheel..Supertech racing valvetrain..HKS top feed fuel rail..Venom 720cc injectors..Walbro 255 fuel pump..Apexi Power FC..KKR T-560 internal wastegated Turbo..RB-Motorsports front mount intercooler Kit.. 3.5 inch custom exhaust with 4.5 inch Tip..Greddy Style intake manifold

Let me know if this is good enough for 500HP, thanks

sounds good to me... don't know much about the turbo you are using but supporting mods are there. Fuel system may be on the lower side of the equation though. $.02

Power FC was listed, which should do the trick.

Bo- He listed Power FC and that doesn't make any bit of difference on the mechanical part of the motor.

For 500hp, you may or may not need a forged bottom end. IMO, you should keep the bottom end as is (assuming it is in good running condition) and build everything else around it to save considerable time and money. Then gradually build your tune up along with everything else you will run into along the road to 500hp. You'll need tires, suspension, cooling, A/C and everything else if you don't have it. If you are really worried about the bottom end, replace the head bolts with ARP head studs and get a good oil pressure gauge.

If you keep a solid tune with no knock, you should be able to get to 500hp at the crank even with a single Walbro and 720s. I agree that it will be on the higher end of injector duty, but it will depend on the tune and what AFR you're able to run.

I made close to 480whp on stock internals and still ran fine to this day.

Only reason why I didn't comment about the build other than I did was he had already rebuild the engine and was pretty much a moot point for me to tell him not to. But Darius is right for those searching, you can go boosting without insurance (upgraded internals) but from the build specs here mechincally it's squared away.

btw, Matt, going to shoot you an email

Hey what else did you have done to your engine to make 480whp with stock internals? What ECU and fuel setup are you running and what else is done to the engine?

rom tune, 680cc, GTK550, Greddy IM, and supporting mods (clutch, ss coils, q45 tb, FMIC, walbro, etc.)

Given I wasn't too concerned about blowing up my motor :P

Is it possible, yes. Is it recommended, no. But either way I have fun.

Awesome, that sounds good. In that case I should definitely be able to make 500HP. Thanks for the input.
