I'm looking to upgrade my shocks & struts on my '03 Maxima and just don't know what to get even after some searching. I want to be able to run the stock springs and don't know if I get the Tokico blues or anything KYB if I'll be able to run stock springs. Any suggestions?

It depends on the ride your after. If you want to restore the factory ride it's my understanding that KYB is the way to go. Adjustable, then Tokico, (but not the blues). I can't speak from actual experience, so bare that in mind. I'll be replacing my originals next summer with KYB.

Get the Monroe struts, front and rear, and that will be as close to stock as you can get.

KYB claim to take into account the slight wear of the original springs into their design and compensate for it. Is this a myth or just not realistic?

http://www.autopartsway.com/au...0~103Here is one site that seems to have good prices. I have not yet dealt with them. Free shipping on an order over $75 never hurts!(That link is for my car, but yours will be the same).

cool, so the GR-2's are what I'm looking for. I'll shop around because I have a couple of weeks before I'm ready for the purchase.

Let us know if you find a better price other than on EBay.

Why are people hating on Tokico Blues? If you use Eibach with them you"ll be fine. I much rather use TEIN though. but then again some people are against them as well. Its all personal preference.

I just meant that the "blues" were not adjustable. Sorry I wasn't more clear on that.

I'm running the Tokico Blues in the rear with stock springs on my 02 SE. Nice upgrade from stock...handles the corners at high speeds much better than stock. I replaced the fronts with Nissan struts about 30k miles ago but will be installing Tokicos within the next year or so.

I had the KYB adjustables on my 98 with no problems. They were a little bit stiff but thats what I like.

I was going to recommend the Tokico HP kit. Best overall ride with a slight lowering, but he wanted a 'stock ride'.
