Daytime Running Light Question

Hello!I am new to the forum and I appreciate a great place to ask questions!

I just bought a 2010 QX56 and I love it but it has one annoying feature. The manual has nothing about it.

When I turn the headlights on (or in Auto), I giant green light comes on in the dash. I think it is the daytime running lamp light. It is super bright and annoying while I am driving at night. The only thing that shuts it off is when I turn the lights off. Is there an option to get rid of this bright green light? I tried lowering the brightness on the console but this doesnt affect that light. Any ideas?

What does the green light show? Like, does it look almost like the blue light that comes on when the high-beams are on? It might be showing that the fog-lights are on. Try switching only the fog-lights off and see what happens. This is just a guess.
