Ok, i know how unorthodox this may sound, but i have a S13 Roller Shell in my yard, and a built L28E on an engine stand in my garage, and a rebuilt L28E Trans, i was wondering, is it worth the effort to try and put engine to shell, i am pretty sure someone here has to have tried or known someone who has tried to do this swap, any insight???

I wouldn't it's just more reliable to build up a KA24DE and throw it in, no wiring or custom fab and the parts are more readily available. Plus if you wanted more power just add a tiny turbo.

I heard they bolt up to the S13-S14 5 speeds. I don't think it would be too too hard

Do it. You have the engine, you have the shell. It would be different, and awesome....plus, it wouldn't be as cool if you just threw another ka in it, now would it?

I have always wanted to do this with one of my Z motors. BUT it is kind of a pointless swap. I only thought it would be cool to hear that straight six come out of the exhaust. I know a couple people have done it but no real info.

it would be triple webbers foo

id say only do it if your going to do the l28et, the non turbo l's arent going to be much fun in a 240 for the effort you need to put it in.

im going th l28et route; cuz i hav the long block..... least on nico this can be talked about without flame wars

Why flame the topic? It's valid, useful, and works.......

So after someone just put a QR25 mated to a S13 5 speed into a 510 I wonder when I might just see that too.

Wow, thanks for all the support, i figured i would get flamed as well, my thoughts were misplaced, which effing rules, from what i have seen/browsed pics of, it looks like an R32 Crossmember and a custom driveshaft is all i need to make the swap fit, what would you guys suggest for an ECU??? i think if i isolate the engine harness from my L28 and use the L28 ECU for that, then use the S13 ECU and harness for all the interior and make an olive branch of peace between the two for my gauges i should be able to have it running in a weekend, my question is where do i find an R32 crossmember, and will my engine management pipe dream work....???

honestly if you were not going turbo id just get sidedrafts..... even less wiring.

if you do go FI just go megasquirt

you also need a old maxima oil pan; you need to have the stump face a different way

palent on hybridz has done the swap, just search for l28 in a s13 and you will find the rest of your answers

i probably wont be starting this till spring/summer
