Hey guys, Nissan just announced this package. I think it really makes the Rogue look different.

The limited production Rogue Krom edition is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations and in just three exterior colors – Venom Red, Wicked Black and Gotham Gray.

Built on the solid foundation of the Rogue S, the Krom edition adds 17-inch brilliant finish aluminum-alloy wheels with P225/60R Continental Conti 4×4 Contact tires and a unique grille embedded in the aggressive front fascia with integrated fog lights. In the rear, the Rogue Krom edition includes a boldly styled sport fascia with integrated center-exit exhaust, a body-colored rear spoiler and rear privacy glass. Body-colored power outside mirrors, a Krom emblem and steering wheel-mounted audio controls complete the Krom equipment modifications.

"The new Krom edition expands Rogue's already strong appeal, bringing its unmistakable sporty and active design to buyers seeking to stand out from the crowd of ordinary compact SUVs," said Pat Steiner, director, Specialty Vehicles Group, NNA. "Just as our NISMO models add enhanced performance straight from the factory, the Krom lineup offers intriguing, customized design right off the showroom floor."

Huh, very neat! Not quite sure how I feel about the look though. I'd really like to see a pic of the back. (I've been looking around and haven't found one)I also wonder if that 'sports exhaust' sounds any different from stock...

EDIT: Found some more pics! http://www.nissanusa.com/rogue...me.P2I like the back quite a bit, but I think the overall look is almost too sporty. The Rogue doesn't really have the power to back-up the claims its new body is making. The front fascia kinda looks like the front of a Matrix combined with the front of a Scion xD to me though. Also, is it me, or does the muffler seem like it's located a bit lower? Perhaps to accommodate that center exhaust setup? Idk, if I were in the market for one today, I'd most certainly consider one of the Krom editions...

Hi there and this is my first time posting on rogue forum. I have a 2009 SL AWD rogue as well. From a closer look it seems like the only differences from 2008~2010 rogue are the front and rear bumper section with center exhaust. I really like how this edition bring out rogue's unique body lines unseen on many other SUVs. Perhaps it would be cool if the bumper can be exchange on existing rogues.

I'm sure you could swap the bumpers without a problem. The only issues you'd face I'd think would be the center exhaust set-up for the rear. (might be possible to buy the parts from the dealer or somewhere online eventually) However, you'd first have to get the bumpers. Which would mean ordering replacements from Nissan which wouldn't be cheap, and then you'd have to get them painted too. Then not to mention the cost of the center exhaust set-up. So you'd probably be looking at maybe even $2k to do a conversion including the spoiler. (if I recall correctly, when I got estimates for getting my bumper replaced and resprayed after backing into a car this winter, It would've been around $750 for the rear.

The only thing I like (more) about this model is the exhaust, though I agree with Nick about the false claim it's making about the Rogue's power. IMO, the rest looks different for the sake of being different. The grille looks like it was borrowed from a 2009 Ford Focus and the air intake looks awful in red.

I hope Nissan doesn't go with this grille for future models.

Since my rear bumper is still damaged and I'm not going to fix it until spring but that's another idea to replace the bumper with Krom edition and exhaust at the same time. Now add tinted tail lights like mine to that Krom and it will be sweet looking rear. I can live with current front bumper. Krom front bumper does look like gt-r and different but there's nothing special about it in my opinion.

It would be easy enough to have a local muffler shop rework the tailpipe on the stock muffler for center exhaust and dual tips.

I tried to look for the 'KROM' part, no listing yet.

Unfortunately the KROM edition vehicles have not been available in Canada, ie. Cube KROM.

Pity, I would love to see them up here.

Well I know it is too soon to talk about parts yet but still why bother of getting the same bumper when you can get a body kit? I would love to buy body kit for my Rogue if somebody would make one. Also about the exhaust part it is up to me but if Krom exhaust would sound good why bother with aftermarket that will not look that good. Even borla will not be able to help with fitment of universal stuff.

I agree with you...the "lip" at the bottom of the front bumper and that ridiculous air intake just don't work on a small CUV...

Perhaps, a larger set of wheel may help its cause...like the Murano 18x7.5's...

And what's with the entire exhaust drum hanging down below the bumper...

All in all...a disappointment...

The new grillie looks even worst than the old grill. Someone needs to let Nissan know.

Just realized, the center exhaust would make it impossible to install any of the aftermarket trailer hitches available for the Rogue. Something custom would have to be fabricated.

Other details:

- Body-colored power outside mirrors- Krom emblem- Steering wheel-mounted audio controls

Designed by the newly formed Specialty Vehicles Group based at Nissan North America Headquarters in Nashville, TN. Other vehicles/projects that the Specialty Vehicles Group has been involved in:

- Nissan Cube Krom edition, and accessories for the Cube- Nismo 370Z, in conjunction with Autech Japan- Some of the Nismo S-Tune and R-Tune parts available in North America.

Rumour has it there will be other specialty vehicles including Krom versions of other Nissan vehicles in the near future.

I agree partially with you: I think it will look good if the Rogue is lowered a bit like what EddNogg did on his.Lowered with bigger wheels will bring more aggressiveness to the Rogue with this fascia.

That is one part I don't understand. I see so many Rogue on the road lately (more than when I went in the US last month), we should be their main market. Last night at a red light, we were three Rogue in a row (and yes, I was in front ).

That is the first that I noticed: Cannot mount it on mine or I will have to remove my hitch.Other thing, they should have made the rear with more curbs to look like two tunnels (like the mazdaspeed). We all know it is just a look and have no effect on aerodynamics but it would have look more aggressive too (F1 look).

It's called a rear diffuser. And with a few exceptions it's mostly a cosmetic add-on.

Don't like the bumpers or the center exhaust. I like the wheels but am VERY disappointed they would leave the patch of grass off the dash!! How dare they? Chrome grass would be cool

The front end is sweet, I wish I hadn't seen it because it makes my grill look not so good anymore, oh well this is my daily driver and not a show car so who cares, but the Krom package looks sweet to me, just not sure if it woud be worth the cost....

The rear is not such a drastic change. IMHO, stock is just fine.

You could easily do the front end swap if you ever get tired of it. It's nothing more than a bumper fascia held on with a few clips/screws.

Quote » 10.23.2009 , FRANKLIN, Tenn.Nissan Adds New Rogue Krōm™ Edition, Featuring Sporty Styling, Exclusive 17-Inch Wheels, Sport-Tuned Exhaust

Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today announced the latest addition to its Krōm™ specialty vehicles lineup, the 2010 Nissan Rogue Krōm™ edition, which is scheduled to go on sale at Nissan dealers nationwide in December 2009. The new Rogue Krōm™ edition is designed to offer a unique dimension to traditional compact sport utility vehicles with its aggressive sport styling, exclusive 17-inch wheels and a center-exit sport-tuned exhaust. Nissan also offers a Krōm™ edition of the popular Nissan cube®.

The limited production Rogue Krōm™ edition is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations and in just three exterior colors – Venom Red, Wicked Black and Gotham Gray.

Built on the solid foundation of the Rogue S, the Krōm™ edition adds 17-inch brilliant finish aluminum-alloy wheels with P225/60R Continental Conti 4x4 Contact tires and a unique grille embedded in the aggressive front fascia with integrated fog lights. In the rear, the Rogue Krōm™ edition includes a boldly styled sport fascia with integrated center-exit exhaust, a body-colored rear spoiler and rear privacy glass. Body-colored power outside mirrors, a Krōm™ emblem and steering wheel-mounted audio controls complete the Krōm™ equipment modifications.

“The new Krōm™ edition expands Rogue’s already strong appeal, bringing its unmistakable sporty and active design to buyers seeking to stand out from the crowd of ordinary compact SUVs,” said Pat Steiner, director, Specialty Vehicles Group, NNA. “Just as our NISMO models add enhanced performance straight from the factory, the Krōm™ lineup offers intriguing, customized design right off the showroom floor.”

Based at NNA headquarters in Franklin, Tenn., the Specialty Vehicles Group was formed in August 2006 to develop niche derivatives of Nissan vehicles.

“Krōm™ adds a level of style and appearance, along with a sense of intrigue, excitement and self-expression. The Krōm™ name suggests ‘cars with attitude,’ rather than a literal interpretation of chrome wheels or trim,” added Steiner. “We leverage our speed and flexibility in bringing exciting new products to market – faster and for less than ‘mainstream’ models.”

About the 2010 Nissan RogueThe 2010 Nissan Rogue crossover SUV continues to satisfy both the functional needs of the buyers and their emotional needs – including the versatility provided by a large 58 cubic feet of cargo space. For 2010, Rogue is available in three offerings, Rogue S, Rogue SL and the intriguing Rogue Krōm™ edition – each equipped with a standard 170-horsepower 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, Nissan’s advanced Xtronic CVT™ (Continuously Variable Transmission), Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), 4-wheel disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and available with an intuitive All-Wheel Drive system. Rogue SL and Rogue Krōm™ include 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Chrome door handles are now standard on all Rogue models.

Rogue’s interior includes a driver-oriented cockpit with available leather-appointed seating surfaces, heated seats and 6-way power driver’s seat. Versatility is enhanced by numerous convenient storage and ultra-functionality features, including an oversized glove compartment, a large center console and an innovative available rear cargo organizer. Available technology features include Nissan Intelligent Key™, Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, XM® Satellite Radio (XM® subscription required, sold separately) and a powerful Bose®–developed audio system with Nd® Richbass® woofer and MP3 playback.

Rogue also offers a long list of standard safety features, including front seat-exit side impact supplemental air bags and roof-exit curtain side impact supplemental air bags with rollover sensor for front and rear-seat outboard occupant head protection.

For 2010, Rogue S models are available with a new 360° Value Package, which includes unique 16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, privacy glass, integrated rearview mirror rearview monitor, auto-dimming rearview mirror, a rear spoiler and chrome grille.

Don't like it in Venom Red. Looks far better in Wicked Black.

+1 w/phillipai like that the closed up the front end, but i like the job our own guys did with the gutter guard much better.

i DO like the rear window spoiler and the fiberglass (i'm guessing) body kit. those usually look much nicer than factory. (anybody know where we can get those?)

I agree with you Philip, way better in black (it is usually the case for body kits).

It should look good in blue too, but I am not sure for the Iridium. I may need some pics to decide.

I really like the front fascia, I would put high power leds in the vertical vent as DRL like the new porsche .

Um, these are all factory parts. Not aftermarket. The OEM bumpers are made from a flexible urethane like material. Very durable and does not crack like fiberglass. Once the Krom edition is released in December, you should be able to purchase the parts separately from the dealer.

The rear spoiler has been available as an OEM Nissan accessory since the Rogue was introduced. They come pre-painted in factory colors. There are 2 versions:

Canada: Shorter than US version (less overhang) with cutout for 3rd brake light

I think the Rogue looks like a completely different car/suv without the roof rails.. I see other Rogues without the rails and I'm like that is a Rogue but something is different that I don't like.. I just think it looks more SUV with the roof rails (most come standard with them anyways) and you see more of the curvature of the roof without them.. So it stands out like a sore thumb..

The Krom looks much better in wicked black...

One thing I noticed is that the krom edition does not have the top rails, can anyone photoshop it up and see how it looks with the body styling?

I just remembered it's an 'S' model only package. Weird! You can get the Krom edition but none of the nice extras like leather seats, moon roof, etc.
