well after having my civic for more than 3 years i decided to sell my fwd slow commuter and decided to get a real project that had to be a rwd i looked arround and waited for the perfect project car something that was clean bodywise with no mayor dents or bodywork involved and this is what i found its a 89 hatch se clean title and clean body just painted flat back in the front who cares is a project right lol interior wise is trashed i need a dash and seats are uhmmmmmmm could be better but they work and no rips back seats are there but probably gonna take out ................ engine its soch and it works its a little loud so if anyone has an idea how can i improve it please help the car came with some nice 15 inch enkie mesh rims that are clean i just dont like the look so ima try to sell them .............anyone interested?? after a week of getting the car and procrastinating on the project i have already picked up some parts lol i got some tein super stiff hr coilovers that i got for cheap and some 17 inch wheels in the meantime while i get the ones i want i plan to get some 17 by 9 rims probably fno1-r if possible with some sticky rubber the guy i boutght the car from had only one bolt on the cat lol so the car was loud and was leaking on the exhaust lol now that is fixed; with new gaskets and everything bolt up the right way . ai already mounted the hr's and the new wheels the car runs and just need to get it rergistered lol here are some picslooks a lil better and handles like nothing i ve ever driven lol compared to my civic . this 240 is supper stiff and i mean stiff the plan of attack is to get a nice set of wheels and a nice uncracked dash a pair of upgraded seats gutt it clean everything and place a new fresh carpet take off the back seats since its gonna be a 2 seater only lol get a newer engine of course just something withing reasonable parameters nothing crazy or expensive lol just to get a nice running car maybe sr if its possible and also some jdm kouki tail lights sleeepy eye mod and a front lip then nicely painted flat black lol hopefully of course in order for me to do so i will need to get rid of my old civic stuff that i have left from my old car if anyone know of someone trying to get jdm parts for a civic ek give them my link http://orangecounty.craigslist....html lolz give me some pointers and opinions guys about my project

looking good. The rims are that horrible looking. I'd rock em for a while. Maybe if you got some spacers to get them flush it would look better. Looks like you got a clean platform. Good luck

For a motor put a dohc KA with a nice exhaust with headers, and a cold air intake. Paint the car the color you want(i honestly dont like flat black) and redo the interior, should be a fun little project. good luck!

im not going to lie your civic looks pretty damn good from what i can tell. i like well done civics alot. go ahead...shoot me. but for a daily driver theyre nice cars. the perfect civic is a slammed si coupe, nice 15's, carbon fiber lip, and a oem cf hood, nice subtle exhaust Modified by FolkertSX at 7:43 PM 10/12/2009

Hey this is refreshing! You seem to know what's up. Good deal. Man I'd just throw some spacers on those wheels and they'll look just fine. Save the money for some baller interior parts.

How cool another Placentia native. I grew up there! It's an awesome town with awesome fiestas. Did you go to Valencia High School?

I've managed to keep mine under the radar. Registration was taken care of as well.

That civic is clean, and looks pretty nice. However, I would say get some 30mm spacers all around or......FAIL, those wheels are hideously high offset.

I like Civics. I'd trade my hatch for a 4 door EG or EK.
