Right now im in the middle of pricing out a vk56de swap into my 370z, my question is are the vk45 and vk56 blocks the same/similar enough for me to throw in a crank from a vk45 to lower the stroke in the vk56 and decrease the displacement to 5L. i would be doing all custom internals and have a high revving n/a like what John Dixon has in his 300zx but with the vk engine block (I think it would end up being the same bore and stroke as his car i think 98mm bore x 82.7 stroke)

The VK45 and Vk56 blocks are very different in starter location, deck height, and oil pan layout. and why would you already want to swap a VQ37HR ?

well right now is a good time to sell the engine, with low kms and little to no availability on 2nd hand vq37's i can sell mine for a good price and take a good chunk out of building and swapping a new motor and get the hp i want for cheaper than FI which i dont want to do for this car
