Ya might wanna' drop it down. CA18DET's are like 500 in junkyards and 800 from shops here in savannah GA. they are 1200 installed.
I just paid 1300 for this complete swap then the rest is all new parts on the engine with reciepts. i'm not dropping it at all. Its already lower than what i paid.

I would loooovve to know where you can get an engine and have it installed for 1200. I'd go get one right now. lol I live near savannah and I can only think of one shop that can even tune any cars.

lol thats true. I wanna know what junkyards in the us has ca18det's period much less for 500.
It was a perfect running swap i bought from an import shop. But after reading about other stories i decided it be best to replace everything before dropping it in for reliable performance. Nope it hasnt been installed yet.
A little off topic but you wouldnt happen to have a drop in resistor you want to sell. I need one like asap. If so how much shipped to 36867 next day and two day rate. Thanks

i have a 89 Chrysler conquest tsi Sports handling package that i will trade for it all it needs is the head put on original one cracked but i have a replacment plus MUCH MORE hit me back if interested
