Anyone replace their wipers yet? If so, what did you do?

replace just the rubber strip or the entire blade?

I replaced with ANCO Contour Wiper Blades. They cost almost $50 in autozone and I don't like them. Planning to replace them with rain-x wipers for about the same price.

Drivers: 24"Passenger: 14"

The rear wiper can only be purchased at the dealer. Fortunately it doesn't need to be replaced often. It's Nissan part no: 28795-CT00B

Personally, I use a cheap Wal-mart knock-off of the Rain-X Latitudes. They are a frameless blade type. Replace them once year, sometimes more. The frameless type work very well in winter.

I was thinking about the autozone wiper blades aftermarket and i found one for the driver's side but the passenger's side unavailability. so at one time, out of the blue went to honda new cars and approach the new 2009 honda fit and i noticed its wiper blades sizes seemed identical to the nissan rogue so i measured it. wallah its exactly fitted so i ordered and now i have a better looking pair of driver's and passenger's wiper blades compliments from the 2009 Honda FIT. try it...

If you cannot find a 14" blade for the passenger side, buy a 15", it will fit too.

For summer, I use a frame 16" wiper from Walmart or CanadianTire, and for winter a frameless 15" from Michelin (Costco). The frameless feature of the michelin makes that the 16" wiper touches frame so I had to reduce it back to 15".

As for the rear window wiper, I think it is possible to change only the rubber, so no need to get rob by the dealer.

The Wal-Mart frameless blades are called 'ViewMax'. They now come in 14" sizes that fit the passenger side. They are actually decent wiper blades. They look nearly identical to the Rain-X Latitude. They fit well, don't chatter, and perform well in all weather conditions... from rain to heavy snow and ice. I have not had any problems with them.

Note: Not sure if these blades are available at Wal-Marts in the USA. The Canadian stores have them for sure.

I find that the frameless wipers are a hit and miss kind of deal. There have been times where I would get a set which perform excellently while other times it tends to chatter.

this observation is made from purchasing the same brand of wipers at different intervals.

However, I do think that the frameless work very well in the winter as there is less ice/snow build up.

That's what I have. Autozone nor walmart don't have both sizes on the same wipers. I could get 2 different brands to get original sizes but I'm ok with 1" bigger.

I haven't need to replace anything yet cuz i only got 13k on my Rogue, but I've already applied Aquapel (simliar to the old STP Vision blade) windshield treatment....

They work like a charm and the rain just slips away...I dont even use my wipers especially on highways....

I bought a pair of winter wiper blades from our Nissan dealer. Not sure who made them. They have a rubber cover around the frame to keep the moisture and ice out and work really well until the rubber cover cracks, then you may as well get rid of them. I think I'll have a look at the frameless blades from Walmart this winter. Got 36k on the Rogue.

I just bought the view max plus from wal mart in 24" for the drivers side and 14" for the passenger

The 14" fits very well but the 24" is actually 2 inches shorter than the stock. It's not a huge difference but I think 26" would fit much better.

I know the rear wiper is hard to take out. I bought a battery head puller to pull the arm out. That is safe way instead using a diver or a wrench to ply it out of the shaft.

is that the "farting" type sound the wiper makes when there is not enough water on the window.... because my rear wiper blade makes a rubbing noise right after its first wipe and continues...is this normal or can the dealer fix this???

Yup that's it... Try some rain-x, aquapel, or piaa silicone wipes on your windshields and see if that helps. I'm going to pick something up this weekend and give it a try. Good luck!

I'm using PIAA Super Silicones based on prior experience with them. The fronts are full replacements while the back is just a refill (and takes some slight modification to fit).

I got those Michelin (from last year, so not sure if it is HydroEdge) and vs the walmart brand, Walmart got better result for the moment. I will see with snow later.

But Michelin HydroEdge did not comes in 14"!!!

true but cant you should be able to run oversize wiper blades, bosch recommends 28" and 14" for the rogue.

did you end up running the 16" michellins on the passenger side? what about the driver side, did you stick with the stock 26" size?

Having 14" on the passenger side fits nice and flush. Anything larger will actually overrun the windshield where it rubs onto the A pillar.

As for going bigger on the drivers side, I'm not too sure. I accidentally got a size too small (24") but it works fine so far.

I just posted this elsewhere but the moderator sent me over here!

After reading this string, be careful...there's some mis-information on here!! The correct sizes are 26" driver's side and 14" passenger side. The reason this string probably exists is because the 14" in the frameless is rare and hard to find. I don't mess around with larger sizes because I don't want to stress out my wiper motor, wiper linkage or wiper arms - there's got to be a good reason why they put the sizes on that they do. I went with the Trico NeoForm Beam Blades which are the newer-style frameless blade and one of the only that comes in the 14" (as well as the 26"). I got them at Wipers123. BTW, there is a $15 rebate on them now through 5/15/10...which is roughly 1/2 off.

I think the bigger issue is not stress to the motor or components, but rather the possibility of the wipers jamming against each other or the windshield frame.

PS. Just trying to keep relevant posts together rather than have 15 separate ones regarding wiper blades. Makes it much easier to find the information later on when others are looking for it.
