If you have questions that are unrelated to this thread please email Carl H and refrain from posting in this thread. Except for MaryJane because I understand what your going through.

Carl has had my harness since July 17th, I know he had 2 harnesses in front of mine so I figured it would be a few weeks. However the last 2 weeks he told me he was hoping to have it done early that week and would email me to let me know. I have yet to hear from him since August 23rd which said the following.

Hey Carl,

Just wanted to see what was up since I didnt hear from you on Monday, thanks.

Seth

Ive yet to hear back from him but yet I see him post on the forum. Which to me I find very disrespectful Im only asking whats going on with the harness, I feel Ive been very patient but the email communication hasnt been the greatest. I didnt want this thread to happen but like I said I shipped my harness to him in mid July and its now September.

Carl, please email me back and let me know whats going on. Ive always been patient and understood that your busy I have even told you so. All Im asking for is some insight as to whats going on and why this is starting to drag on.

Thanks,Seth

All emails have been replied to, and hopefuly handled.I'd rather not go into detail why i fell off the face of the earth there but for some very personal reasons i needed to take some time away from school and 'my job' to collect myself.apologies to those who deserve them.

almost 3 weeks later and a week after you told him it would be ready to ship... Seth STILL DOES NOT HAVE HIS WIRE HARNESS!!!!! WTF man, you have had his harness for 2 months! aka his car has been DOWN 2 MONTHS because of YOU!!!! I have no doubt he will be sharing the email communication when he gets home. He just told me via phone you failed to reply to him again and his harness still has not returned nor has he been updated on it since Saturday when you said it would ship Monday!

Granted its been two months, he did apologize, I really think you should chill a bit.

I'm pretty sure he's not all happy about the delay, but sometimes 54!+ happens.

Stuff happens, I am sure that carl will do right. I have been in his shoes, and I have heard enough good about the guy to know he will come through.

are you guys seriously sticking up for this!? Its been 2 months. Hes a moderator and has a sticky offering his service like a business.

I'm blown away that you think this is acceptable.

And a paid service is NOT a favor. However, at this point and with this ridiculous delay, it should be a favor with only cost of supplies IMHO.

HOWEVER, he has emailed Seth back after my last post. He asked for an address to ship... sooo hopefully Carl does come through and a harness shows up and hopefully whatever is going wrong in Carl's life is remedied as well.... but to say be patient is beyond stretched to the max.

You could also be in my buddies old shoes. Wiring specialties did his harness, and mixed a couple wires. He spent 6 months and 500+ for new sensors just to have me finally peel the harness apart and find the problem. They charged him about $500 for the harness work and refunded him $150 maybe? He had even asked them to re-check the harness and they pretty much refused. Oh, and they had his parts for over 2 months.

That said, 2 months IS a long time... however knowing it will be done right will save you much more time and money in the long run.

Best of luck.

hey carl send this kid his crap back so he'll stop whining! give him some links on the net to the schematics and let him figure it out.

Hey SS back in the day we all had to do our own harness before wiring specialties/mckinney and countless other companies started screwing up peoples harnesses. Get off your duff next time if you want things done promptly.

I am as capable as carl is, I have wired a number of different motors into different chasses. I don't advertise my services on this forum because he is close to me in geography and area of expertise. I am a licensed and insured self employed electrician and I do auto and marine wiring too. Needless to say, most folks that I do business with would have probably burned or replaced their investments in what I have worked on for them if they had to do it from scratch. Wiring seems to escape a lot of people.

I only do business with locals and people I meet through verbal networking.

I just notice how you keep b****ing up a storm and seth hasn't really said anything. I KNOW seth wants his harness back and to get that beast up and running again, but let SETH handle the problem. You have nothing to do with it minus stirring up s*** that has nothing to do with you. As I have stayed outta it as well...I know carl does good work and he states in his "business" thread that he is a full time student and does this on the side. I also know you went to school and understand priorities. Carl is offering his services to help the community, not profit majorly. I think the mods should get rid of this nonsense...

Ok let me first start by saying that Ive been more then patient and Ive always kept my emails to carl in a positive and knowing hes a busy guy manner. Second thing, I can follow the write ups and had the car running, the problem is my ecu pin connector was cracked and causing an issue.

I spoke with Carl in mid July on AIM and asked if he would be interested in fixing it for me. I could do the work myself, but Id rather have someone who had done them before do it. I sent the harness to him a few days after our convo and it arrived July 17th.

I understood from day one that hes a busy dude, so I didnt email him for a week or so to just see if he had gotten started on it. He hadnt, told him no big deal just checking in.

Following a few weeks, I sent him a email seeing what the status was a week went by and no response. I followed up with another email just to make sure he got the first one. A few days went by and he replied that he was hoping to have it done friday.

That friday came and went, so after another week had passed I sent him a email to see if he had any luck getting it finished. I didnt hear from him for another week, and then decided to post on the forum since I wasnt getting very good email response.

He said what was going and apologized to me for it taking so long and that he was hoping to have my harness done last monday. So I waited until thursday before I emailed him to see if he ran into any issues.

Ive been more then patient like Ive stated and Ive never been an ***hole or a prick to him. However you can understand my frustrations after dealing with this for 2 months now. I couldve just found a new harness online and rewired it and been done with it. However I know Carl knows what he is doing but I wish things wouldnt have dragged on like this.

Brandon is only voicing what he knows I feel, however Im not one to throw a fit or b**** at people because I understand that things in life happen.

So to everyone who said that Im whining about my harness or to give it back to me unfinished is just plain retarded.

The mods shouldnt lock or remove this, it was my post to Carl since I was having a hard time getting through to him by email. I didnt ask anyone to post in here but Carl. Last time I checked none of you were him.

Oh and fwiw, Carl emailed me and told me the harness is ready and needed my shipping address.

Seth - should have your harness mid next week, fridays I actually get out at a reasonable time and to the post office.

Tom Sullivan - not sure why the paypal dispute was escalated when I just NOW got back into my room after being in classes all day...dispute was opened in the morning and escalated this evening without the chance for me to respond. you'll have a tracking number for it as soon as i can make it to my car half way across campus when i get seth's harness out.
