Hi - I am currently on a road trip - and this happened. Never has occured before.

Car won't start. Will turn over, but won't start. New battery, so it's not that...I'm having it towed tomorrow to infiniti of Palm Springs if not working, but have heard that it could be:

1) transponder key - but will the engine even turn over if this is compromised?

2) fuel filter?

3) IPDM/ER - not sure what this is?

Are there any dash warning lights that might be left one that indicate a problem?

(i.e. both yellow and green cruise lights are on as is the service engine light - but i don't know if this means anything)

Please help, as i'm on vacation and I don't need this agro!

It sounds like it might be a computer problem. I'm just guessing because my friend has an '04 infiniti FX that was having trouble starting and the lights on the dash were saying all different things too. So the computer might just need to be reset.

Any luck?

My truck just started doing this today...seems like it's not getting gas into the fuel injectors, because it wants to stay on and putters out (if that's a word).

Need some help!!!!

Thank you!!!! Will try this tomorrow...any idea where I can get one or if this is a dealer part only??? I'm in Dallas area. Never done any service on my QX since I've owned it, this will be a first...may need some help there too.

I will google what I can, but your expertise could save me time and trouble.

Was the Fuel Pump. And, I think, fuses in the injector (?)

A big THANK YOU to the guys at Palm Springs Infiniti for taking care of everything.

2005. Was covered under powertrain. Lucky because I only had less than 1000 miles to go until it was up!

Well my truck is still at the dealership...it was (you guessed it) the IPDM!!!

It's not under warranty...here's the thing. The part is $150, but for them to run diagnostics and for parts and labor I'm looking at $450. Not too bad considering it won't run without the part being replaced.

Here's the thing...I don't have warranty to cover this or a loaner, BUT I took it to the dealer and the service manager said he would give me a loaner car FOR FREE if I let them do the service.

I let them do it, because the PART IS ON NATIONAL BACKORDER!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't get the part if I wanted to do it myself anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!

I figure if they have it a week, the cost of me not having my truck would be worth the extra $250. So no biggie, in the meantime I get to drive a LITTLE EX35 , but it beats not having my second car. Thanks for the info...
