Hello everyone!! I just bought a 98 Q and i love it!!! So stylish for an 11 year old truck, But i have a problem now! When i bought it the middle muffler was completly rusted out, so i took it to my friends muffler place and got a new one because it was ridiculously loud! All of a sudden my engine light comes on so i take it to my buddy and he says i basically need a tune up. I have multiple cylinders not firing, so i change the cap rotor and plugs but not the wires because they look good. I used bosch plugs, I know i should have used ngk but im on a tight budget and the bosch were cheaper plus i wouldnt think they were the problem. So I did all that then started the truck up and no engine light on, Then i let it heat up a bit then get on the road and get on it. It seemed like it didnt want to get passed 4 grand, like it was struggling to move.. I dont know what to do. Or what else it could be!!! Any help would be very appreciative guys!!! Thanks ! Dan

If it's a 98 Q like he says, then it wouldn't have coils.

Yeah it doesnt have coils, My buddy who is a mechanic says the muffler might be too small or the cats are dirty. I should take the o2 sensors out and see if i have more power when i accelerate

Fixed!! I just needed a new factory exaust, the aftermarket one wasnt allowing proper flow and thats why its was misfiring.
