Yeah, you'll have to crack the laptop open. As long as there's no power (which includes capacitors, unfortunately) water can't damage electronics. Depending on how the laptop is designed you may be able to remove the keyboard with out actually opening the laptop itself.I suggest the following:-Crack it open if necessary-Remove keyboard-remove keys (most laptop keyboards have scissor type keys...they'll just pop off and pop back on easily. Try prying with a butter knife.)-wash keys if needed-rinse keyboard with lots of alcohol. The alcohol will absorb any moisture and then evaporate quickly, leaving you with nice, clean, dry electronics.
I have a really old Del I use for legacy gaming, and I've cleaned that keyboard with alcohol many, many times. Never spilled any milk in it, though.
