Okay here's the setup:

A Lenovo 3000 C200 laptop, base model w/ XP

Recently, I noticed the "server taking too long to respond" page happening alot to me. I checked "network connections" and found that the "Internet Connection" Icon had disappeared, but would re-appear when I used the regular wired LAN connection.

So, I tried deleting the Broadcom device from the device manager and re-installing (writing over, yes to all) the factory driver from the Lenovo website.

It seemed to work for about 20 minutes, but now I am having the exact same problems again.

Ideas?

I eat cornflakes while sitting upside down in China.

But seriously, WTF is that?

It's a software item by Lenovo, part of the ThinkVantage technologies they put out...

With a lot of their laptops, if you aren't using it to manage your wireless connections, the laptop gets all screwy with the wireless system...it's super annoying too. I removed it from my T500 and got a blue screen every time i tried to use wireless...

That may be doing some stuff to you...I'm not sure though...
