Finally got my Rims. its 22" Mazzi "Krank" rims wrapped with HanKook ventures. I wanted something that didn't have lip & chrome but that looked like a R50 Le rims but in a bigger version.

What do you think? I'll post one picture later on a all Black QX4

Since you're asking, those look hideous dude. I'd take them back and slap the dude that mounted them.

I like the rims themselves (wanna sell???)

But they do look a little off on your rig, maybe its the champagne colour, I just probly wouldnt have went with an all black wheel

You obviously like them though so that good

My first reaction is "no" but then when I picture you adding a few other accessories I can see it working. I think if you add the following it would blend it out and even it up a bit.

1. Black brush guard.2. Black Tailight guards3. Black Roof Rack, even stock or a bike rack4. Black running boards (Look faded if they are black now)5. Black tint (passenger and drivers windows)

And I am with you, I didn't want chrome either but I got such a good deal on my 22"s I could not pass it up. I got chrome cheaper than silver!

Nice rims if you had a black QX4. The champagne with black does not look good at all. Sorry......

man i like the look of it, i was going for something similar to that but wanted a deep dish, i don't like rims sticking out more than the tire and for good reason, my truck is the same colour as ur

suggestions if u like to complete the look1) tint front window charcoal 23% black tends to look purple2) put a bug deflector in the from and some slim ventvisors3) cover, paint or change light housing to match

i would of preferred ur rim in a deep dish but still overall its look good, i would be happy with those still, the champagne color is nice not too bright and not too dull, plus it hide dust pretty well

now get in there behind the wheels and take care of all of the surface rust.

And while you are at it, since everyone can see the tiny front disks and reare drums, get in there and clean those up too and through some paint on them.

weren't you asking about caliper paint a few threads ago? If so, and these are your wheels...the only color to paint them and not look totally stupid is black. The next best color would be silver, but that's it. No red, no blue, no gold, no green. Just black or silver.

I'm still trying to figure at the reasoning behind putting 20+ wheels on the PF or any car for that matter. Sure, I guess it is a fashion statement and could be something to brag about, but in the end, it just doesn't make sense to me.

If it came with 20s, fine, but to do a +6 (16" OE Wheel) wheel fitment just seems crazy. Come to thing of it, a +4 is crazy too.

and one more

I only went with black rims cause it was a pretty good deal and Another reason why i got it is cause I'm getting Tints(20% all over),JDM black Headlights,Tinting back lights and I removed the Side steps. After removing the side steps it makes a big difference

because those wheels have a so so paint job (or is that powder coating). Your first pic shows lots of flawa in the barrel of the wheel. I wonder how long it will last. I'm guessing that's why you got a good deal.

Besides, no one buys wheels that big and doesn't want to show them off. I bet they were painted black for another customer and that person backed out or changed their mind after seeing the final result.

In the end. the only thing that matters is that you like them regardless of what other think.

Its time to take your brake calipers off and paint them black and maybe invest in some sweet brembo racing roters that would look neat through the rims. No body can rock the rust.

One thing I would suggest, going to any size rim over 20' is to upgrade your brakes. Your dealing with alot more rolling mass and it will wear on your brakes, increase your stopping distance etc. PLUS a set of 14 inch cross drilled rotors would look b****in.

Bigger brakes would look nice but during winter i need to put back my 16's and i might have issues with the caliper.

I think were all bein a little harsh here....Gold cars are love or hate, and the black does stick out alot...but the entire vehicle looks stock, so it really makes 22's look odd at first. Once you do the things you plan to do like blacked headlights and stuff, itll match a hell of alot better. You should have left the rims for last to be honest, but you got a good deal so why not.

They have a real intricate design, and I dont know if youve had chrome wheels before, but their alot of work, trust me. I polished mine last weekend with a powerball, and i use a soft brush to wipe em down every other day, get rid of dust. and when it rains, your going to be itching to clean them again...just the satisfaction you get from seeing them all shiney is great...if you have patience like me. So the dark paint seems like alot less maintenance.

How much did you get the set for all in?? Any Rub? hows braking, is it rough? I noticed my braking distance is increased to stop for unexpected red lights, i definately watch out now, its affected by my 20's, if my pads wear fast I will upgrade next year.

Overall, everyones entitled to their own opinion, but in the end, what matters is if YOU like it.

Cheers from Canadialand

I bought rims and tire for 2200CAN. The tires are HanKook ventures(notsure),it has about 80-90% tread. Reason why i bought it cause the price was cheap and and another reason is I Can get OEM parts for cheap since he works for Nissan.

I think the Brake are fine for me but I have bit of wobble to due bent hub assembly in the rear and my suspension is gone which give me a bad ride.Hopefully Suspension would be on the "To due list". Then comes the black accent pieces

make your suspension components the top of your to do list, they can cause tire "cupping" and wear issues...with expensive lo pro's like yours, you really need to take care of those things

I should show you guys how hard I screwed my winter tires by not getting an alignment after putting on a new steering rack, OBLITERATED 1 year old tires in less than 2 months and less than 5k miles

Yea, I had alot of sway from the rear, and my rears just looked like hells after a month or so...ON second thought.. that could have been because of the burnout i did.....

EITHER WAY suspension work first, then big bad a** brakes

Oh yea take the time to get the suspension fixed. Every rotation is going to kill your tires; I would consider taking them off until you do that. Once a tire wears unevenly it will never really be correct and you don't want to have to put a new set of wheels on there every month. I've been told the tire will establish uneven wear and continue that even after an alignment. If possible pay the extra money for lifetime alignments if offered and take in there every year. NTB use to offer this service, I will eventually however my alignment was an insurance claim.

K03sport - As far as the 22" "confusion" by K03sport in this post we get it, you don't like it but the persistent claims of "showing off" and "fashion statement" and “brag about" is a fairly judgmental. It's a common theme you post in any thread about 20" plus wheels on a Q or a Path. We get it. On my 22 post you could only write that you’re glad you are not cleaning them?

I have had some form of an aftermarket wheel for at least 10 years and when I pull up at a stop light nobodies drooling over the fact that I have 22" wheels; I didn’t get them for anyone else and would not have had the price not been right. I would have spent more on used, possibly bent factory wheels.

My next truck my very well be a QX56, I just might take a 50K truck and paint it a satin flat black, Here’s a few million in photos of cars painted flat black; some moron posted a comment “Yea this guy must be broke if he painted his $500k car flat black, what a broke a** loser!” That comment does NOT even make sense…

Mercedes SLK http://farm1.static.flickr.com...b.jpgPorche Carerra GT or http://jalopnik.com/assets/res...k.jpgPorche or http://ilovesubstance.com/imag...d.jpgor Bently @ http://www.supercars.net/galle...8.jpg

This any other non standard customization depends on the person and the type of customization or wheel and I can say that the average person will not even recognize an aftermarket wheel for stock; my mom won’t. I think of it as an AMG Mercedes vs. a regular Mercedes, they just "look" different to the average person but anyone in this forum knows they are not the same.

You don't have the get it, that's the point of doing anything to a car non stock. I didn't get 22" wheels for my trips to grocery store, daycare, work, gym and I don't park outside a bar standing there chasing women. My truck is a 2001, I doubt anyone is seriously impressed with my 8 year old truck despite its shape.

I like it, anyone who doesn’t simply doesn’t get a 22” wheel… life is easy.

I have a 1964 Lincoln Continental as well, the forum I use there separates "restoration" from "customization" and I sit on the fence with semi-custom. I don’t go in either sides post and judge people who spend $45,000 on a 40+ old car? Restores who may disagree with customizers don't post WTF messages there and vice verse?

my gooooodddd that 64 is sooooo nice! you got links to more pics by any chance?

as for flat black its definately a love or hate thing like any custom type addition/paint colour. I personally love it, look at the stealth fighter jets, and B1 b0mber, and the blackbird i believe was flat black too....its definately IN YO FACE.

anybody ever see those chalkboard paint cars (can you do that with a matte paint)? its literally coated as a chalkboard and you can write with chalk on it...probably would have been a good alternative for those goons who used the q as a graduation banner.

I would engage in relations with that Carrera GT in flat black. The best flat black application I ever laid eyes on was an R34 , flat black, and on his hood and fenders were his sponsors, except they were in gloss black. Looked UNREAL.My only beef with flat black, and it's my only beef with black ( even though its my favorite car color) is that it takes A TON more care to keep looking perfect. But if you got the time to wax and polish it all the time, DAMN! I want it.

I think your front right tires are mounted the wrong way. from the looks of it they are directional tires, there should be an arrow on the sidewall for proper rotation

i didnt notice that either but it does look like that front tire is in the wrong direction.

how do those tires feel on the road i might pick up a set of those when i get mine.

taking off the step rail had to have made a huge difference id like to see that pic. .

and i agree with not going up a size for calipers and rotors, due to the fact that your going to have to change your rims and tires back for the winter. just get some paint in there and black that wheel well out and you should be good.

looking forward to seeing the accents and finished product
