As long as you have it done properly (by properly, I do mean professionally, by a reputable if not MECP certified installer). All aftermarket additions to an automobile as long as it is done without interfering with the safety and normal performance of the vehicle are covered by the federal Magnus-Moss act. Which in basic terms states, unless the dealership will give you that same benefit/feature for free you can have it done without voiding any warranty.sschantz wrote:I would love to get one as well as I live in Boston but would this void any electrical warranties?

I have been quoted $375 (Rosenthal Nissan), $419 CarTrendz, and $577 (Safe & Sound) for just the auto start. Distance is not a factor for me as the Rogue sits 6 feet in front of my Townhouse. What I want is to retain use of the Nissan Fob. Having said that I was told it is possible with the 561T module and that it would work with the fob. They set it up to power the fob only for auto start and then once I'm in the car with the other fob, turn the ignition, press the brake, and drive off without it killing the vehicle. Supposedly this is a seamless transition from one fob to the other. I'm very skeptical as everyone is quick to say I have the same starter as the push button. I'm hopping to find someone on here who has done it and it is seamless before I let these guys experiment with my vehicle. I had a nightmare experience with my Dodge at Car-Toys in Charlotte, with a chip key.
I'm going to look into the XKO7. Thx.
I'm sorry, but it is not all the remote starter who need that.bill875 wrote:That's correct. You must hit the brake or use the remote to shut off the engine first. Then restart it. This is the downside of the Intellikey with Remote Start, however I think I remember seeing that someone figured out a way to get the Intellikey to work, but I don't know if it was with the XK07.
I realize having to restart our Rogues causes excessive wear, but I think it's great that if someone is tempted to steal my running vehicle, they will be in for a shock when it shuts off on them. LOL!
Which remote start system do you have koolyce, that allows you to not have to do this?koolyce wrote:

I have a 2009 rogue with intellikey and when I start my rogue with the remote, when I enter the car, I only need to turn the starter at the position On and after, if I hit the brake, the car don't stop, I can drive normally.
No need to remote start, stop and start again.
I will call my dealer to ask wich one it is, but next week, I'm pretty busy.jmcavalieri wrote:Wh

So you don't have to have a key used with your RS system?koolyce wrote:
