On the old WoW board, all pics were done as attachments.

Here's they're inserted with simple html tags.

You can click the little "picture" icon when you hit "Reply" or "Post new topic" and insert the url of your pic, OR you can just add a [img] tag in front of it and a [ /img] tag after it (remove the space).

Only the pics that were posted as attachments. I am not sure if they will be recovered. Glad to see you here.

I guess it's a good thing I save pictures all the time, then.

You make it sound so simple and not much of a change (don't go there "change") - attachments vs. html tags. A big difference.

Hmmm, when I hit/press the image icon, all I get are the [IMG][/IMG] tags. Shouldn't it prompt me for the URL? In the past you provided the space, are you telling us that now we must host the images ourselves and just provide NICO with the links to them? With all of the advertisments on NICO one would think they could afford some space for images!!! I liked the old site much better but I understand your issues with spammers.

You are so close.....first you will need to copy the html code for the image then press the insert picture botton and you will see [IMG][/IMG], you will then paste the html image code in between the paste it here" [/I M G], then your pics will show up. Let me know if you need more help.

Actually, it's much more than that.

Keep in mind the old board was "taken down" by some kook who inserted a malicious chunk of code in an attachment.

Attachments are a last resort for any board.

Anyhow, there's plenty of room and bandwidth here for you guys to load images to your hearts' content.

Stick around, we'll help you come to love it here... Plus, we're all eagerly awaiting some updates on the progress on the 320!!!

Already - uh, love it here! Nice to have a place where all of us (cars, trucks, etc.) can get together. And I am sorry for starting out with a complaint. So to continue to be a pain, where in your "plenty of room" do I place the images? I understand bandwidth but not room.

Do I need to post images on ImageShack or similar then provide the URL to it? Or do you have some place where we can upload images?

No apologies necessary!

I meant "bandwidth" not 'space' - My error.

We do have an option called "iServe", which allows you to save your pics online and directly link them into a thread (see the iServe button when you hit 'Reply')... there's a nominal annual charge for that one tho.

Otherwise, feel free to use ImageShack or whatever else until we figure out a good, secure, reliable solution.
