Are there more or less pins on non TCS ECUs?Would a non TCS ECU work on a TCS car?

Current Car: 1993 Q45 Green 11/92 Hybrid of 1994 Q45 and 1990 Q45
 Deceased: 1991 Q45 Black 4/91 with 1990 seat controls and no TCS button but had TCS.

So then I have to find an ECU because mine isn't working properly with that consult plug. Unless If I can send you the 94 ECU Cali TCS but do you think you could put a resistor in there for the EGR temp sensor for that same price?

Hey I am getting a 1991 Q45 with TCS ECU, Now if that hooks up to my consult correctly I will want a NICO ECU. But would Be able to give you a cali model ECU with TCS so you can use as a core or knock some money off the price.   The price isn't really a problem its getting the money that is.

Hey Wes I sent ya an email about the NICO ECU.Well if you see this before the email then here goes.: I was wondering if I can customize the The NICO ECU settings like what temp the A/C fan turns on and so on? And since MA did away with emissions is it possible to get stage 3 and valet on one ECU?

if you dont have a TCS car you should just go ahead and get one now. Ive said it before, but ive been running a 90-93 ECU in my 94 Q for 2 years now!!

I trust your expertise and believe that the loss of my aux fan wont compromise the car. I have never had that fan turn on without the a/c, except once.....My thermostat housing was leaking and my coolant was really low. My Q is whisper silent, that fan is so noticeable when it comes on...

Nice mod! The NICO ECU took about 10 minutes to install. My Q does not have to do as much as it used t on the highway to gain speed, the word effortlessly comes to mind. The engine does not wind up before accelerating anymore, it just jams it. After 4000 rpm during WOT it seems to double acceleration; WOT is almost as if I am pressing the gas half way down and then pressing the gas all the way to the floor after 4k rpm!!!! My neighbors yelled "slow down" as Niqole growled down my street. Wicked pick up between 60 and 80. Very pleased...Thanks Wes!!!

Now I have a question, u said it will work for a 90-95 right? Well I am buying a 92 that has a 96 ecu and tcu and basically the whole drivetrain from a 96 will it still work or am I gonna have to find a different route?

Unfortunately, No it won't work because of all the OBD2 crap and just it harder to do.Was it a NICO member you bought the car off of? What I don't get is why put a 1996 Q45 drivetrain in a 1992 why not a 1990 or a 1991 or original because that what it call for?????

Long story short, yes its one of the nico members, y guess is because for one the chain guide issue thing, I know it broke on him, and he bought a totaled 96 q for really cheap, and it only had 70k on the car so he just swapped it out for everything, I'm not complaining, I'm getting a 92 q with only 70k on the motor and I don't have to worry bout that stupid chain guide thing.. I'm happy

Gas milage improvement is HUGE. It used to suck it down when I gunned it, now its like Im putting down the highway when in reality, Im calling out ricers on highway 370, doin 60, letting them approach at full throttle, then, and then, doin nothing but MF OWNING anything that gets next to me. 140, no problem...My old O2 sensors still need to be changed since the "laziness" really shows at times.....makes Niqole run rich sometimes, it comes and it goes. But at least I can nip that problem in the bud!!! Thanks again Wes for the pute and the advice on those o2 sensors (and Q45 tech)!! Its making Niqole run like a muscle car!!!! Lots a fun!!! Highway 370 and 364 are awesome out here, a real mid-west auto bahm. Oh, is unhooked stage 2? I have even not tried stage 3 yet..

Yeah youll splice a switch in to connect the wires for stage 3, which is a noticeable difference over stageII. Not nearly the difference that you get from stage II vs stock, but its good!
