what would would be the correct amplifier for 2 alpnie type r's that are dual 2 ohms each, peak at 1500 watts each, and RMS at 500 watts each?

You will want a 2 ohm stable mono-block amplifier around 1000 watts RMS.

I have the Alpine MRP-M1000 on sale right now for $329 shipped. A great amp at a budget price for 1000 watts RMS.
